He simply whispered to Terry to pick those names, the hosts want the trick to work. Hell, a few tricks prior the guy was stepping on Howie's foot to make the trick work, so you know Howie knew after how he had been tricked but never said anything.

Yes, his act is a lot of fun, but I'm pretty sure it's a flamboyant variation of a card trick. The dead giveaway is when Heidi and Sofia must choose a "card" from a face-down, barely fanned-out pile. Almost always, this "choose any card" moment is designed to make the audience believe A) the two women are choosing one random "card" among many (they are not) and B) the magician is demonstrating that he cannot see which "cards" they choose. Remember, in so many card tricks, this moment is key. It is crucial NOT that the magician doesn't see the "cards" face up (after all, he could just cover his eyes or turn his back in order to prove that he's not cheating); rather, it is crucial that Heidi and Sofia DO NOT see the cards "face up." Information is hidden from the two women and from us--namely, that the deck has been swapped out for one that is one half Kodi and one half Shin (is that the name?). I don't know all the trick's details, but it's definitely a souped-up card trick passed of as a mentalist's supernatural ability. :-)

The first one with the feel this pressure it's easy to explain, first one the guy just used his other hand to put pressure on his leg and that counts as pressure and then he probably stepped on his foot and same for the controlling part. Also on the 6:31 they slowed it down and you could see the disc was transparent and it was filled with paper. And for the appearing discs it's just mainly quick hands and jacket having a space between two fabric layers they he hides them in.
