@@HannahRose19960 on a rare occasion they maintain it. There in is the problem. To compete with females boys are often behind in training and exposure.. it helps if the boys family have musicians in there family or if there family is wealthy. Boy singers before puberty is a bad investment. If they have money they can use medication. Something similar to a trans child would use. And it does occur naturally and when it does it makes for a great spectacle. Dimash is great example. The boy did ok job , range is only small portion. At that age they learn character voices because there is not time to teach them how to sing. Vocal coaches teach this to show early progress. I'm sorry I just was not that impressed . There is a boy from mexico that is in my opinion the best boy singer on the planet now he is mind blowing. Darren esperanto was incredible at that age . This show really has more to do with how he transports than how he sings. He will likely do well . But he will need a really sad back story to win
