I go to taekwondo, and in my dojo, there’s an entire poster on the wall saying “I CAN DO IT!” every promotion test I go to, my master will always support us, and just help us. One of the things he’s taught me is to always have a goal in mind, and one of my goals right now is to get into the taekwondo demonstration team. he’s talked about how it’s disappointing how people go for just the black belt, and nothing else. I can understand, since he’s put so much work trying to get people to learn something, just for them to leave because the black belt is the highest rank and they don’t want to go further. even people won’t take the 1 day program, they just leave… this makes me have my heart filled, as it just feels like how much work and dedication taekwondo is put into, and how much these people put into taekwondo, is just amazing, and they followed what they believe is the best for themselves.

The discipline and confidence he got from doing this has carried him into adulthood and continues to carry him. Our son has excelled at his chosen profession, he’s a college professor. He always exudes confidence in everything he does . I know it’s from his teachings from this discipline. He never used his skills to bully, he builds up others. I’m so pulling for this group. It's rare for me to see Simon with such a big grin on his face. He usually tries to keep a poker face or keep his expressions cool. But then again, I don't watch enough of this show to know for certain.

Most children in Korea start taekwondo at the age of five. The move is aimed at embracing the basic sports spirit of self-defense and protection of the weak. As a parent, I strongly recommend teaching Taekwondo spirit from an early age. (FYI: They would have cleaned up the pine boards after the show. In Korea, the demonstration team cleans up after the taekwondo demonstration.)

They did a perfect show. That was amazing. I love the comment from one of the Judges "He flew!" I have respect for Taekwondo and all forms of material arts. I have always wanted to learn but the money for classes have always gotten in the way. I wish I could learn not to hurt other people but to master myself.
