Agreed! Some vaccines are life saving, such as the polio vaccine. My daughter got the HPV vaccine too. We do not get the flu shot because there is some research that says it can protect against the strains it covers, but can actually cause worse symptoms in non-covered strains. When my daughter was a toddler we got her the flu shot and she was hospitalized with flu (confirmed with a test) . She was so severely ill that she couldn't stop vomitting and needed professional help for days. We considered that a bad reaction and never got her the flu shot again. She is now 14 years old and has NEVER had the flu again, and nor has her dad or I. My coworker got the flu shot and had to go to urgent care with a severe case of flu this year. Again, she was tested and confirmed to have it. I never got it, and I didn't get the flu shot. It's strange. We did end up getting Covid vaccines, but I wish we didn't because the research that it works is flimsy at best. It can maybe lessen symptoms but does not stop anyone from getting Covid. I think it's scary how close we got to forcing mandatory Covid vaccines in our country. I would be okay with that for a known, tested vaccine. But the Covid vaccine was not well tested, was not FDA approved, and ended up not working in the way everyone thought it would. Any vaccine that claims to change your DNA in some way should be taken with a great degree of skepticism.

The money in California is up north in the wine valley. Altadena had a bunch of people that doesn't have money to rebuild, but everybody else only lost 1 of their multiple homes. I really, really like the balanced way NBC presents the news. Instead of being left or right and having an agenda, they present the news, share both sides, and let people make up their own minds. They interview real people on both sides of the issues. They share the good in the world and the bad. I am happy to see that Trump isn't being attacked for once, and that Biden and Harris aren't being mocked either. Instead, opinions of NBC are held back and FACTS are shared. The way that they presented the Israel Gaza situation was especially balanced, showing the suffering and pain on both sides without saying which side is right or wrong. THIS is the kind of responsible media we need in this country to unite us and not divide us.
