Biden should step aside for two (2) reasons. 1. If incompetent, he should step aside. Obviously. 2. If competent, then he didn't prepare for the debate, or make sure he was in shape for it. This shows lack of foresight. Most importantly, it shows a lack of respect for the voters. He got lazy and sloppy. He took the voters for granted. That disrespect to the American public is why I feel he should step aside even if he is totally OK. Bottom line, he should step aside. Sorry Biden. I was with you, until I thought it through.
