The properties lost to floods and fires have to be rebuilt. Some insurance companies in the United States are not renewing homeowner policies in riskier areas. Since we're going to pay a price, wouldn't it make more sense to spend that money on mitigating climate change instead? Even if you don't directly suffer from the storms, you will notice the increase in food prices.

Los Angeles and most of CA city planning decades ago did not account for water control. All they wanted was the cheapest solutions to building more roads and that was putting more cement barricades and paths throughout the state. They were proposed a more technical green space for water management, but that was ignored for the sake of cost. For the last news for this show, I wanna say thank you for reminding me a certain American Opera show named Porgy and Bess. I remember it one time when I was studying in the south and my music professor introduced me to this Opera which all casts are African American and it was really good.
