This is why humans migrated, to respond to the change around them, because geography changes, along with everything else, and if one cannot adapt and respond well to change, they will not survive! I would advice all miseducated Floridan's to be aware that rising sea levels will soon devour all Florida, so yeah it would probably be smart to move; and not build their! Of course unless you have some rich billionaire who can take sand from one beach, and/or area, and move it to Florida but I highly doubt this but I'm optimistic!

Those homes were not always at the surfs edge except for 'king' tides. The oceans have been rising for years now, and will continue to do so. There was a documentary about some of the inhabited small islands in the Florida Keys where people had to close small businesses and leave their homes because their island was 'sinking'.
