@ghinanaeem57235 жыл бұрын
It's not exactly glass, but rather some polymer, not sure what kind tho. Hence it was so hard to break. Glass is brittle, it would have broken at the first strong enough hit.

It's anti-theft glass, basically the same thing as windshield glass but tougher. It's glass laminated with either more glass or plastics.

Even before Matt said anything, I could tell the greenish blue fire was caused by something containing copper. Now, I am not an expert at chemistry, as I turn 17 this December, but I know what a fire looks like if it is burning somehting containing copper. Some fireworks were, not sure if they still do, containing copper sulfate or copper chloride to make the fireworks show up green or greenish blue. Love the Chicago universe.
@amandabilger22355 жыл бұрын
I couldn't understand why they didn't use the nitrogen. If they had sprayed it on the glass it would have been flash frozen and easy to break. The writers messed up there.
@timburm88475 жыл бұрын
Amanda Bilger 1 they're fire fighters no scientists 2 that takes a crap ton of time they may not have had
@amandabilger22355 жыл бұрын
@@timburm8847 Firefighters know about chemicals and they would know about Nitrogen. Using the Nitrogen to flash freeze that glass then shattering it in one hit would take less time that standing there having to repeatedly hit it just to get it to break. Nitrogen would have been faster.

Lol let's use a giant 02 tank that can explode when exposed to extreme heat instead of an axe. Lmfao what a joke.
@boringperson-zb8vy5 жыл бұрын
The tank is designed to take knocks without breaking apart. An axe wouldn't have the force needed to breach that glass.
@deand83805 жыл бұрын
@@boringperson-zb8vy wonderful expect fornthe fact 02 is extremely flammable and in a extreme heat situation like that it would explode
@hblake52134 жыл бұрын
And you know the tank is full of oxygen how exactly? And also oxygen burns well but requires a source of ignition/fuel, high temperature is not enough, the tank would explode from the pressure if the heat was enough to weaken the tank itself most tanks designed to store oxygen are quite strong, otherwise the oxygen tanks they have on their backs would explode everytime they went into a burning building
