Sadly causing many issues for the breed. My parents had those and I hope in future there will be regulations to breeding on animals that causes them massive healtissues. This goes for ALL animals. I loved Bassett hounds since they had a lovely mentality, but seeing the show version of them is very reminding of how a breed should not look. but its just my opinion. Lovely dogs overall.

I love blood hounds but I noticed him shaking his head and ears a lot. My dog does that when he has an ear infection and I know those types of hounds are prone to them.

Yes, weird that they noted all the dogs in the group were present. There were are least three I noticed missing, Norwegian Elkhounds are lovely and add a sort of secret spice to the variety in the hound group.

All my dogs have been sighthounds. Have had Afghans, salukis, and now a silken windhound. They are the most elegant dogs and can see into someone's soul. Couldn't imagine having anything but a sighthound.
