He should get what someone is willing to pay. If the sport can't manage itself don't put it on the cyclists.

It is like the minimum wage in NBA for the biggest talent of cycling. Why bother?

Whatever else Tadej may be, he is a gifted athlete who fully respects his physical gift/s. That Team UAE just happened to be there isn't now UAE fault. Better race tactics may give him a longer & more successful career, but if he's not tactically gifted, that becomes his team's role to fill. UAE needs to nurse Tadej's career to last as long as possible, yes?

On TdF sprint stages, could they just give bunch time to everyone who reaches the town limits? (UCI points is a great sounding idea Tejay! Cycling events are long to watch; no halves or quarters. Multiple short stages on 1 day?) Then only those wishing to sprint need to be involved. The current rules also add greatly to safety, as do how riders & teams approach their own safety & the course/road-conditions.

More people will tune in if riders start making real money. It makes the whole thing seem more important. Ask yourself, who tunes in to any sport where the players don't make big money no matter how incredible the event might be?

Rider's safety gotten better? Muriel Furrer was forgotten for 1.5hrs and DIED in a closed course race.

Here’s the deal that’s an eight year contract and there’s a lot of junk and loopholes on it. He’s got a perform just to get the bonuses and most of that contractors bonuses so there’s a lot of dirt under the rug.

Only cyclists care about watching pro cycling and hardly anyone is a cyclist. Tons of lazy sports fans love to watch NBA NFL etc. Follow the money it’s all about the paid advertisers. It will never be mainstream.

Tejay, how do you think us Aussies felt when Sky (Rupert Murdock) created TeamSky filled with Brits?

I hope his appearance does not mean NBC will have Tejay back for the TDF.

Why? I liked calling the tour. I’ll try to lighten it up, throw in a joke

Do you both really think that Cav will remain prepared to leave Tadej such an 'easy' number of TdF stage wins to better? Pog is NOT a cyclist you should ever leave ANY additional challenge laying in front of, IMHO.

The jerseys this year were some of the worst ever. Especially the trek one, it's just ugly.

Nope. The market will pay what the market can bare to pay. Get it now why you’re healthy. Or before you get popped for doping.

UAE can easily afford profit sharing (infinite green washing budget). That doesn't have to be a hard cap. Think of it as a very progressive tax.
