Michigan started playing it in 2017. At the time it was just one of the songs on the stadium playlist to be played during TV timeouts, nothing more. During the 2017 game against MSU, the students sang it pretty loudly when it was played, which makes sense given that it's known for being sung at bars and concerts. The students liked it, so the stadium played it more, and it became a tradition. The actual content matter of the song doesn't matter, all that matters is that it gets students excited to go to the games.

Mike Hart wasn't even close to being the best RB. At one time UM was RB university b4 the Loyd Carr era. Jamie Morris , Tyrone Wheatley, Tim Biakabutuka, A Train was Okay, it fell off once Loydd Carr got here . Hart wasn't bad , its a mismatch to others b4 him . Those I mentioned were thurougbreds though. Far as Corum Jamie Morris comes to mind . He just know how to run to daylight, vision and gets to top speed really fast with quick feet and jump cuts both left and right. You can't teach what Blake Corum does running.

@@duffydier I forgot about Butch Woolfok, he was a beast in the rose bowl against USC. Might be b4 your time but I saw Harlan Huckleby, Vaughn was okay but they have footage of Tim Biakubutka , he was just as good in the NFL but a lot of injuries. But deadly when he got to the second level.
