I mostly watch lectures from Yasir Qadhi, Mufti Menk, Bilal Assad, Mohammad Hijab (his commentaries and debates), and Abdul Hakim Murad, and they are all excellent and have their own style, now you are one of them, I didn't know about you before seeing your discussion with Owen Benjamin (which was very good, but may Allah {swt} guide him) I have been watching your streams since and been enjoying them immensely, you're detailed and very well spoken, keep up the great work.

Salam brother, I just found your channel and find it very helpful. Would you consider creating a segment on mental illness? I have someone in my family who was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia at the age of 19. My family and I have suffered as a result of his illness, I can only imagine him. How can we help people who suffer from severe mental illness? What purpose does/could God have for him? How can he start to build his life given this burden? Thank you and God bless.

i would like to add there is another added benefit to the existence of evil, which is that we become more aware of the perfection of Allah swt - this world is a manifestation of the Divine self-disclosure (Allah swt willed to make known what He knows about His own perfection) and we are the audience say i came across a people in the jungle and wanted them to know something about me - that i hate wicker baskets - but they have no idea what a wicker basket is; so i make a wicker basket for them as an example (not because i like it or need it) because i want to make clear something i know about myself to my audience when Allah swt says in the Quran that He does not love oppression or injustice or indecency then - if any of that self-disclosure (about what the Divine likes and dislikes) is to have coherence to us, we must see examples of that manifest in the world so that we can appreciate and come to love that Lord Who dislikes those things which He naturally inspired our hearts (if we are on fitrah) to be repelled by

لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله I don't think it's true to say that it is common practice for Muslim Ulama to do Ruqiya by contacting "Muslim Jin", most who speak up about this condemn such behavior and affirm that ruqiya is done only through Quran recitation, and they provide some very good reasons, one of them is "how would you know that you are dealing with a muslim jin not a liar kaffir jinn?". And to say that Haroot and Maroot came down to teach people the "knowledge" is very bizarre, especially when insinuating that this is a proof of permissibly of contacting "Good Jin" have you read the Aya "وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ۚ وَمَا هُم بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ " You can look for translation if you don't know arabic, but let's focus on the part where it says "they (Haroot and Maroot) don't teach anyone until they say 'we are a test, do not commit Kufr'".
