@ツzlatooshka It first appears in the 2nd game. Essentially, Pearl imbues a magatama with spiritual power to detect when someone is hiding a secret. The magatama will make the user see psyche locks whenever someone is hiding a secret from them, the number of psyche locks showing how desperately the person wants to hide that secret. To get that person to reveal the secret, you have to break those psyche locks, essentially making the person lose the will to hide that secret, whether that person has been forced to tell the truth since it has been proven they're hiding something, or because they find some other reason to tell the truth.
