Hot damn... the urge to get an NC rises more. *NB whimpers in the background*
@driver464 жыл бұрын
It seems that NC is more capable specially with 2.5 swap but NB is still good option for track fun .

After your vids the NC trend is starting to pick up...:))

which cams did you use?
@driver462 жыл бұрын
Esslinger stage 2 , just cams without upgrading springs .
@mtsui672 жыл бұрын
@@driver46 thank you! did you end up needing to change the valve bucket to get to the valve spec? and i assume the oem springs are still good with the cams? im planning for a 2.5 build too but still not sure which cams to go with and if i should do the springs as well. your info will help out alot, thank you
@driver462 жыл бұрын
@@mtsui67 they are recommending springs but in all honesty they told me that those are not necessary with stage 2 cams. I am limiter is at 7,500rpm and so far no problems . You will definately need buckets to adjust lash specs. You can buy them in Ford or Esslinger sells them too.

I just got mine done with a 2.5 swap and a stage 1 cams, can't wait to get a good tune on it so I can start really enjoying it 😁 Yours would obviously be faster since it's a track car with weight reduction and I'm sure air conditioning and power steering delete(correct me if I'm mistaken) how much more power/weight shed did these mods get you? Mine is a daily so I'm not really gonna do those I just wanna know how much power are they taking away from the engine 🤔 Great Vid btw, she's slaying those mustangs 😍🔥

Thank you and that is great you did 2.5l . It is nice when you keep it stock looking and just add some torque and power , I just went all in(or everything out) during lock-down. There is Dyno video on the channel if you want to check it . Everything is striped from inside my car and with full cage it is 2300lbs with 203WHP right now.

you didnt upgrade the valve springs with the stage 2 cams?

no , just cams .

@@driver46 are you worried about any mechanical issues if you are tracking the car? planning on adding stage 2 cams myself for dd, spiriting driving, and occasionally track days
@driver463 жыл бұрын
@@save229 Not really , owner of Esslinger Engineering told me it is not a must to upgrade valve train for stage 2 cams . Other manufactures of cams also "recommend" it with stage 2 but nobody saying it is really needed . So far it works pretty good with over 20 track days of heavy use .

@@driver46 awesome thank you for getting back to me :) any plans on turbo in the future?
@driver463 жыл бұрын
@@save229 yeah, that is always a plan . Probably once this engine dies I will get fresh one and drop turbo on it . I feel I can still improve with this setup before adding 100hp +

In process of getting this swap done at a shop myself, from your experience does steering wheel matter much? What did you look for when you bought yours, depth style price ext... Hopefully this gets to you I'm wondering if the steering wheel plays a role at all on your driving style
@driver463 жыл бұрын
Car already had some cheap aftermarket steering wheel so I just got good Sparco wheel . I need it little bit more closer so deep dish would help or just adapter , it depends on your setup . Also deep dish style will be little bit easier for drifting applications but realistically that is last thing to worry about. Choose one that feels good for you , if you are daily driving your car go for regular leather.
