Trying out NC 2.5 capabilities vs few Ford Mustang 5.0 cars from American Muscle Cup 2.5L 4 cylinder engine wasn't match for V8 on straights but Miata's lightweight chassis helped in the corners .

Just bought a 07 miata. Love it. Had a 2015 1LE track version Camaro. She hit 182mph and drank premium fuel only.16.5 mpg because I loved exhaust pop. Miata is a more fun car to drive. 35 mph to krogers feels like a race

I love SS and ZL1 amazing cars but amount of $ they burn every mile on the track is hard to justify. And weight plays big difference on braking and cornering so that is also why I am really impressed with Miata .

The NC is such an underrated chassis. Nice driving!

Thanks, I agree . That is even better it makes it very affordable to buy.

About on par with an s2k acceleration-wise. That's what I figured from a cammed 2.5. Great to see one put through it's paces on track. I love mine in my dual purpose car with Esslinger stage 2s.

Love watching your miata in particular dive into corners at stupid speeds. That, and when underdog cars reel in heavy horsepower monsters

fantastic racing my man, great overtakes. feel like the great Lewis would drive a Miata like this!

Thank you . I don't know about Lewis , lol but I would be more than happy to trade with him for one session. Glad you liked the video , there will be more fun battles soon.

@@driver46 i have an 07 nc gt that I'm in the process of building for track/FTD autoX. it's just full bolt on rightnow with a tune, went to my first AutoX event on all seasons and factory alignment xD. it was fun as hell though! and hell yeah man look forward to the driving! you earned a sub.

@@miatacheese that's great , NC is really fun just with coilovers , pads and tires . Mine was like that untill last year , at over 177K I swaped engine and everything else followed. If you ever have any questions about mods in future feel free to ask .

That was me in the red mustang. It was too painful to stay behind you on the straight. Sorry about that hahahahah. I was running low 129s which isnt bad for a 4.6 on nt05's

I am a former 2013 Club PRHT (killed by a 25lbs rock that went through the engine bay). Love it when the S2k fan boys are shown that a NC is a superior platform when it comes to weight, costs and greater options list like a 2.5 swap.
@driver46 Жыл бұрын
Wow , where did you collect 25lbs rock 🪨? That is very unfortunate, hope your insurance covered it.
@CarsandBikes Жыл бұрын
@@driver46 it happened on 280s in SJ. Not sure where it came from but it was around the time where some guy was pushing rocks off the over pass and killed some guy. Insurance cashed me out

Very good driving.. very impressive.. It looks like S2000 has stiffer chasis than NC, what you think? double wishbone vs multi-link rear?
@driver463 жыл бұрын
Thank you, S2k looks very stiff but NC is too stiff also with Feal shocks. I am working on replacing those and hope to get much more compliant suspension. I think that multi-link works better for track for sure as long as shocks and springs are right.

@@driver46 I have a NC3. I just got the Eibach springs but just curious what’s good shocks combo with Eibach for street application.
@driver463 жыл бұрын
@@mikelin8055 I used to have Megan racing coilovers and those worked really good for street/track use . You can see how care handled in video with ZO6 . Also I heard very good things about Fox coilovers offered by Flying Miata for NC but that is double the price.

I am not 100% sure but if you keep both catalytic converters and save file with 2.0 stock tune on ECU you should.

What tires? Lotta Gs!!
@driver463 жыл бұрын
NT01 255/40/17 , I think G forces are reading higher than it should because car is extremely firm and it make sensor peaks higher on bumps . But car do hold a lot of grip with those tires .
