The Wolfpack seemingly pulled off a miracle, defeating the Cavaliers 73-65 in overtime to advance to their first ACC Tournament title game since 2007. NC State becomes the first time to play on Tuesday of the ACC Tournament and advance to the championship game on Saturday. NC State trailed by five and had committed an intentional foul that would give Virginia two free throw attempts and possession with 1:10 to go in the game, and yet Michael O'Connell hit a three-pointer as time expired to send the game to overtime. In overtime, D.J. Burns Jr. scored seven of his team-high 19 points to lead the Wolfpack to the win. O'Connell and Ben Middlebrooks each scored 12 points. For Virginia, Isaac McKneely scored a game-high 23 points and was 5-9 from beyond the three-point arc. Reece Beekman had 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Christian Laetner shot against Kentucky in The 1992 Elite 8 game...was more clutch. Regardless, this was a great shot by dude!

If NC State ends up winning it all...this shot will go down in history as truly being historic. Without the game tying back shot 3 at the end up regulation...NC State does not even make The NCAA Tournament. They not only still had to win it in OT, but also had to win The ACC Championship Game to even get the automatic bid. NC State does not get in via an at-large bid given it's overall record.

@29:59 I like when a moving screen (#13) has the opposite affect! So busy shuffling the feet and attacking the guy's knees that you forget to cut to the basket.

@45:29 "if he decides he's going to back you down, there's nothing you can do about it." Am I crazy? Why do I keep thinking the defender can establish position? So in theory, Burns could take the ball from the top of the key and just keep backing down till he's under the rim? Only thing stopping him would be an equally dense dumptruck?

Yeah, it's partly Burns' maturity of getting the job done (foul) and then hands-off. Holding onto the player kinda sent a message of "Yeah, I did it on purpose". Hard to referee that one ... on our court at home, it's just a foul ;-)

@18:37 Probably not a flop, more likely a very real experience of running into a brick wall (well-executed screen). Cartoonish, comical, but probably honest Wow moment.

@33:48 Seeing more and more flailing arms and now this flop by McNeely ... not impressed. Can't win a game faking your way through. You'll get a couple calls, but lose the head game. Weak.
