We went from Applecross, ventured onwards to the Isle of Skye and then back to Gairloch to stuff our faces with fish and chips 🍟🐟
The roads on this day were absolutely incredible and made for some awesome memories!!

Hi Kate, just watched your riding the pass to Apple cross ride . My wife and I did that 14yrs ago on a blackbird and it tipped it down with rain and was freezing cold, this was in August to add insult to injury. When we got down into Apple cross, we parked the bike in the only gap available opposite the pub. I backed the bike in with my wife still sitting on the back and as she swung her leg over and off the bike, she planted her backside done on top of a large traffic cone that she had failed somehow to notice and let out an almighty yelp. Everybody outside the pub burst out laughing and I nearly dropped the bird for laughing so hard. Great memories and lovely to see that bit of road again. Ride fast ride safe😊

Hi Kate, Hi Mike, What a fantastic ride through breath-taking scenery with some great fast overtaking which I found exhilarating! I didn't see the car encounter as anything as Mike was travelling slowly and the car had stopped with plenty of room to pass! I always love your banter and your GoPro setup is perfect, a beautiful 1440p and no distortion. They were huge portions of fish and chips, and looked absolutely delicious, a great treat after a hard days ride. Thank you for sharing your holiday, so beautiful and entertaining.💗💑💗

Hi Kate, really liked your video from Shieldaig area to and over Belach na Ba , Applecross, went up in my Anglia van in 1971, Honda 500 twin about 2013, both ways, last time was 2019 on Sym 250 scooter, rammed traffic, pure cloud,no view , hoping to go next year when should have had both hips replaced,am servicing Sym at mo ,also plan to fly to Barra , bucket list flight, shall be 81 by then if lucky..scooted to Stockholm in 1968 on 180 cc Vespa from Brum, live in Stourport on Severn now, bring it on , got a chap of 94 to beat who was doing Lands End John o Groats on some bike, what keeps you going keeps y' going, just love Scotland, Mike Williams, regards.

10:30 - Just spat my coffee over my keyboard!! You normally have at least one cracking quote per vid, but that one is the best yet 😀. Looking forward to Part 3, I was up in the Highlands last year but it was during Storm Francis and Ullapool (lovely though it is) on a cold, windy and wet day isn't quite as appealing so gave it a miss and stayed in Inverness instead - which was worse but at least didn't involve dicing with idiotic Highlands drivers - and before I get the complaints, it's my hometown so I'm allowed to criticise it 😃

Knowing these roads so well after doing them more times than I care to remember I know every cattle 🐮 grid to the amusement of my family. But the guy in front needs to learn nothing to to with biking or his skill but to learn to enjoy the scenery you pass two places that are almost religiously followed to pull in for five minutes as if blind to parking spots. Seriously I couldn’t road trip with him as and I know he doesn’t mean it but selfishly doing his own thing. Well he’s missed two of the most spectacular view points that most would agree make the trip worthwhile. Granted you were repeating the road back so you may stop on the return.

I enjoyed him leading the trip actually. Many people like looking at views, many people like hunting the nice flowy roads, we just happen to absolutely love ripping about on the bikes. We stopped plenty, don't forget you're seeing a 30 minute video of a day. I am very satisfied with our trip and wouldn't change it. I only wish that we can go back and do it all again but different places 👍

@@UsernameKate the 360 camera does take a bit of time to get your head around, but the app and PC software does work well. Won't take you long to get your head around it when you get time to play.

Hi Kate, I'm really surprised at you not enjoying the food at Gairloch Hotel. I've stayed there twice in 2021 and the food was great. I wonder what changed.

Oh it was terrible. Maybe they were having a few off days. The meat was inedible and the fries... it was like they played chicken with the salt shaker! My duck was like £20 and you could barely chew it, it was like rubber. Then the breakfast was tiny... lattes were pretty banging but we had bad food all trip! The fish and chips was the best food of the trip at that point. Glad your experience was different 😊

You have to be careful, we didn't realise how infrequently the ferry goes and had to wait 4 hours (on the Isle of Skye, poor us 😜) but luckily caught the last one!
