2:16:09 I’m in that line of students sitting along the wall ready to hop on the field. Once I saw the first person drop and run, that was my cue to go along with. Started the night sitting in the upper deck, but as the game went on, I made my way to the lower deck eventually to that first row by the 4th quarter. I remember rushing onto the field to celebrate, then fans made their way to the north goalposts. Problem was, while earlier in the week, we were told if we tore down goalposts, we were to tear down the north goalposts, by gameday, an email was sent to students not to tear down goalposts… by the time most everyone was already tailgating and what not. That was a mess. Went for the north goalposts, then south. By the time I saw students using benches as battering rams against the police lines, I headed out the stadium. The parties in town afterwords were something else… and pepper spray wafted in the air heavily soon after.
