Couldn't agree more that Annette is tip-top here. She conveys everything that made her America's darling: sincerity, sweetness and sensitivity. Too bad we don't have more stars conveying these traits today.

She always said double- and triple-tracking provided the key to her recording succeed by fattening the voice. But as you can hear, at this point she had become quite a sensitive and accomplished singer. She always had a very clear head about her talents, her abilities, her priorities and her moral code.

She was such a kind and sweet person. although I didn't grow up with the original Mickey Mouse club of the 50's I consider myself a fan just from watching her videos on Utube. Also I consider her an inspiration to me since her diagnosis of MS in 1987. She dealt with it with such style, grace, and determination. That to me is the true definition of a star! Rest in Peace Annette. We all love you and miss you!

You are a lucky man. Truly someone I've always wanted to meet. I think she must be a wonderful and kind person.

The other thing to note in this clip is that Annette is clearly preparing to host a party. So she's checking the flower arrangement and removing cigarettes from individual packs into a larger cigarette case. This doesn't necessarily mean she smoked. Proper etiquette was for a party host/ess to have a box of cigarettes available for guests and to offer them much as one would snacks or drinks. A ritual that has disappeared (thankfully) from parties today.

Annette Funicello - When You Get What You Want ********************************************** Oh,oh,oh,oh.....oh,oh,oh,oh When you get, what you want, Will you have, what you need, Or is this just a thing you require to succeed, In a world where a heart must defend every deed, Oh,oh,oh,oh....oh,oh,oh,oh When you get what you want, Will you need what you have, Or is this just a riddle you need to unrav-el, To know that your heart can't be fooled quite so bad,

Oh,oh,oh,oh.....oh,oh,oh,oh The love you seek seems all right on the surface, It's OK, for today, But when you speak of for better or worse, It's not the same, it's more then just a game, So be sure of the feelings that real friends involve, Don't you switch what you take, to be love at first sight, When you get what you need you will know in your heart, oh,oh,oh,oh...oh,oh,oh,oh... mmm,mmm,mmm,mmm...mmm,mmm,mmm,mmm

Following this scene, was the 'wild' party, Annette returned to her room and stayed there until it was over. It wasn't necessary to the movie and was offensive to Annette. She wouldn't do something against her principles.

your right that party was beginning of time of bunch drunks and bad taste. Annette had class and class around her was going. down. even in my family as times the parties lose there class and if I was parent I wouldn't have these parties. this party compared to Annette's pajama party was innocent compared. this song was great for her .look for Susan Hart president of american international wife. bomb shell in pajama party. she sings this song so great. rest in peace ANNETTE.

Hollywood is a 24hr party with alcohol, drugs and sex. Annette never fell into the Hollywood norm. Well.....maybe an occasion cigarette!
