Hey Rick - really nice job on explaining the Mini Panel (and the Switch-8's in your other video). Very easy to follow and understand what you are saying/doing. I am very familiar with both of these devices as my club has many, many of them, and they can seem daunting at first but, as you clearly show, they are not so bad once you get into it. Great work and keep them coming! -Rick

Rick, your videos on the mini panel have been invaluable to me. Except, nothing worked, it seemed. After trying a few different push button and toggle switches and lots of repetitions of setups and testing etc etc, I was staring at the board last night and noticed the jumper in the middle of the panel with PROG written next to it. I removed the jumper and now all works as it should. That is, the toggle switches execute the commands I programmed. However, I also discovered if the jumper is not connected, the mini panel is not recognized when the cables are properly attached and the system is turned on. I've thought about doing a reset of the board but thought I'd see if you know anything about what I've described. By the way, my mini panel is about 8 years old and I had never used it.

Sounds like you mini panel may be an older version. I have see the issue where it doesnt work while programming jumper is on. But once removed it should work. You may want to give NCE a call. Their support guys are awesome.

What do you do with the programming jumper? Ignore it?

Hmmm I believe so. I don't think I ever used it. I'll have to check the manual. I can't see what it would be used for.
