Y'know, the more I think about it, the more I come to realize something. Every antagonist that had the goal of being Hokage became an antagonist from some outside stimulus they had little control over. When it came to Sasuke and Madara, they weren't only Indra reincarnation (And bore the Curse of Hatred), but in Madara's case, he was tricked by Black Zetsu. For Sasuke, he was tricked into hating Itachi, manipulated by Obito, and learned how the structure of the Shinobi World was HORRIBLY FLAWED. Obito was manipulated and emotionally broken by Madara. Danzo was never led astray by any outside influence. He's just a total prick.

Nah that was the Second Shinobi World War. Tsunade already left the village and was wandering aimlessly getting drunk and gambling during the Third Shinobi World War. Sasori was a child during the Second because that’s when Sakumo Hakate killed his parents

It is implied that the Sand was defending their territory during the 3rd war (Sasori was called Sasori of the Red Sands) Konoha had no reason to attack the Sand village, Dan & Nawaki died during the 2nd war, so Tsunade left prior to the 3rd War, meaning she was not helping with the War. It is implied that Sand vs Konoha was happening during the 2nd war though (based on Chiyo's comments about Tsunade, and Sakumo's involvement with Sasori's parents.)

I think Hiruzen couldn't kill Danzo out of pity. Danzo was his best friend and rival, and Hiruzen knew that the _only_ dream Danzo had ever had was to be Hokage so he could protect his loved ones... because he _had_ loved ones, once upon a time. Hiruzen felt guilty because Tobirama just _gave_ him the Hokage position that he didn't really look for, while Danzo had been actively working towards earning it. On a more practical side, keeping Danzo happy would help Konoha because of how much incriminating and damaging information about the Village he had accumulated. He was _too_ valuable to simply kill-off... though I think his involvement in the Uzumaki Clan Massacre would've probably pushed Hiruzen over the line; paranoia is _not_ an excuse to violate a century-old defensive pact with an ally that has strong blood-ties to your Village.

This is much better and makes more sense than your previous theory that involved Hashirama. The only thing I'm confused about is the geographic logistics. Like, why would Iwa or Suna care about Uzushio and how would they even move troops there without notice? I also think some of the smaller countries were in on it, since Karin and her mother seemed to have been portrayed as prisoners of war/indentured servants of Kusa. My personal feelings: I think the fall of Uzushio either ignited the Third War, or happened towards the start of it. Hell, maybe the mission Sakumo failed was involved somehow? It'd explain how such a close-knit village that thrived on the thought of comradery would so viciously turn their back on him. Like, sure he saves his teammates, but because he abandoned the mission it led to the Uzumaki Clan's eradication? Sakumo was considered more powerful than the Sannin after all. I don't think he'd be sent out on missions unless they were of great importance.

I would love to see a video about Kisame, the Hoshigaki clan, why they can transform into shark folk, and why they look the way they do. Also the fact they must've been maybe a high-profile clan in the day given many ninjas of the water/mist will shape their teeth to emulate the Hoshigaki out of respect. But also the indication that up till the Sixth Mizukage's era, the family name no longer appears on memorials, meaning there might be a lot less of them and have been around in past wars. That would make next to no sense, as by that point they have 2/3 Sannin (Orochimaru had not deserted at this point, but Tsunade had left. We know Orochimaru does not defect until 6 years before the Uchiha Massacre, due to Itachi Shinden statements) Hiruzen, Danzo and Minato. Minato stalled Ei + B and the 3rd Raikage dies near the end of the war, Stone was humiliated by Minato (Killed 50 Shinobi, which caused the other 950 to retreat) Mist lost Isobu which would need to be resealed at some point (This is 1 year prior to the end of the war, so assuming that it takes 3 years to reform after the Jinchuriki dies, they still have 2 years without Isobu) and Sand has presumably been defending their territory for a majority of this war (Sasori was called Sasori of the Red Sand, Red Sand can be assumed to mean Bloody Sand, which alludes to the fact that he was defending Sand's territory at this time) There would be NO reason for Konoha to Sacrifice their Allies for a war that they are not losing. I actually theorize that the Uzumaki were destroyed in the first half of the 2nd War, This lines up with the fact that Kumo attempted to kidnap Kushina {This happens about 1 year after the 2nd war starts, and the 2nd war lasts 3 years} (They had no clue she was a Jinchuriki, just an Uzumaki, unless you believe Danzo leaked it to Kumo, which he would NEVER do, as he wants Konoha to have as much power as possible) This means that Kumo wants an Uzumaki and Kushina was the easiest to kidnap (It would definitely be easier to kidnap an Uzumaki out on a mission. I say this because Kumo could get blamed for Kushina's kidnapping which could possibly start a war, while an Uzumaki going missing on a mission could be blamed on almost anyone) This could mean that Kumo did not participate in the Uzumaki destruction, or if they did, they got nothing from it (Kiri, Land of Hot Water, Land of Frost and Kumo are the only villages I can realistically see participating in the destruction of the Uzumaki Clan, as Earth is literally on the other side of the map, and Wind probably could not spare any troops to attack Uzu, as they were fighting Sakumo and Tsunade.)

@@Solqueen86 my theory about the uzumaki clan massacre is that it may have happened long before the third great ninja world war. Probably shortly before the 1st great ninja world war. Hell, it may have been the event that sparked the start of the world war. One could argue that hashirama received word of the land of the world pool being attacked and went to personally help but in the process having to use up so much chakra fighting multiple villages probably resulted in his end. When he was reanimated during the fourth great ninja war he was missing a plate on his shoulder, which indicated that he died in battle. It's just a theory though.

Danzo always struck me as the kind of person you get at competetive tcg events, who basically wants everything powerful banned because they arent good enough to play around it, they then spend 100's on flashy toys only cry when they find out you need to actually be good to use them (sounds like danzo right?). It's been a while since I read the manga but fairly certain his motivation was essentially that he was jealous of Sarutobi, the Senju and the Uchiha because they were better than he could ever be even with cheating.

I think it's an interesting theory, but I find it unlikely. My primary reasoning is that Danzo - at no point in the series - showed any interest in consolidating the Uzumaki's power. Unlike the Uchiha, we have reason to believe that the Uzumaki and The Leaf had a strong relationship. They'd have little reason to suspect treachery from their greatest ally. If Danzo truly wanted to keep the Uzumaki in line while maintaining their power, and had as much influence over the war as this theory requires, he could have used the destruction of Uzushiogakure as an opportunity to integrate the survivors into The Leaf, likely through a military operation that resembled a response to the attack on The Leaf's allies. This would serve several purposes: The Uzumaki would be weakened to the point that they'd be dependent on The Leaf, the survivors would feel indebted to The Leaf for their survival, their lineage would be continued in The Leaf where Danzo would have direct access to them, and actively taking in the refuges like this would limit the number of inevitable survivors heading to other villages. The only reason I can think of for Danzo to destroy the Uzumaki entirely would be to add fuel to the war, which would be typical of him. However, while I expect that the Uzumaki Massacre was likely an important, perhaps even inciting incident in the war, it would still make much more sense to take in the survivors, which would achieve essentially the same effect where the war effort was concerned in addition to the benefits I've already cited.

There’s two possibilities of the fall of the Uzumaki clan. 1. Danzo find a way for Uzumaki to be destroyed for he can have their secrets. 2. konoha received the emergency message of Uzu and decided to ignore it and keep Kushina for she can creat le and teach sealing art:

They probably didn't realize how _lucky_ they were that Kushina never learned that Danzo simply let the other Villages destroy her Clan, despite the long-standing defense pact they had with Konoha. She'd have _torn up half of Konoha_ with her bare hands to kill Danzo for that one... she's an Uzumaki pure-blood, with the fiery temper and _monstrous power_ that comes with it, _plus_ she'd be coked up on Kurama's Chakra due to her rage. Literally, _nobody_ in the Village was more powerful than Kushina during her lifetime.

@@anthonylamonica8301 I agree, but imagine if they were both minato and her were alive. Minato is the fourth and finds out what konoha did and never tells her and keep a secret from. Remember Minato couldn’t sacrifice a another person child to seal Kurama and was able to seal to his own son. Believing the village will treat him as a hero, but no they treat like a monster. Minato had blind faith of the village. In theory I believe Uzumaki lineage lead to Ashura like the Uchiha to Indra. Just in theory.

(Pein Arc Kakashi/Sasori) At worst she is High Jonin level (Kakashi during Kazekage Rescue Arc) She is not stronger than characters like Mei/Rasa. but she is definitely stronger than characters like Old Chiyo or Zabuza/Asuma. She has never been shown to be able to actually control the Kyuubi's chakra whilst using it. Uzumaki were not famous for their temper, they are only famous for their Red Hair, Strong Life-force and abundant Chakra, and their sealing prowess. (Tsunade, Karin, and Tsunade are all Uzumaki, yes. But a majority of the females in Naruto are shown to have a short temper. Nagato and Naruto are not shown to have a short temper.)

@@Xyro-- You don't need to _control_ Kurama's Chakra to summon it forth; _intense rage_ will suffice, as it did for Naruto for much of the series. The angrier she gets, the more her Seal slips, and the more Kurama's hateful influence manifests itself. Think Naruto _losing his shit_ when Pain skewered Hinata; it's the same idea, except potentially _worse_ depending on how much more powerful than base-Naruto she was. Plus, as a grown pure-blood Uzumaki (probably a direct descendant of Ashina himself given historical naming conventions of Feudal Japanese Clans), she _already_ had mid-Kage-tier levels of raw power even _before_ considering her status as a Jinchuuriki. You must have misunderstood my statement of "most powerful" as meaning "most skilled"; the two are _not_ the same thing, and though there is often overlap, in this case there is not. In terms of sheer power, Kushina reigns supreme in Konoha during her lifetime. Nobody had anywhere _near_ as much Chakra as she did, even as she was _literally dying_ after having Kurama torn from her. And yes, the Uzumaki were _definitely_ famous for their tempers. Remember Kushina mentioning that her Clan was known for being "savage" and feared for their Fuinjutsu? "Savage" was likely a misinterpretation of the word "fierce", largely in reference to temperament... and the behaviors of _every_ Uzumaki descendant we've seen in both Naruto _and_ Boruto show that this checks out. Even _Himawari_ has the Uzumaki Clan temper! As for the supposed discrepancy with Nagato and Naruto? Simply put, few people actually went out of their way to really _piss them off_ enough to trigger their tempers... Naruto gets _plenty_ fiery on loads of occasions, even against Tsunade when she insulted the position of Hokage. Nagato tried to take out his fury on the _world_ as a whole.
