I think he already has actually. His reaction was of total shock. He never trusted Kawaki to begin with, I feel like he would expect something like this. Remember, Amado in the last chapter begged Shikamaru not to kill Kawaki and that there was a way to shut him down, that he has to see him in order to do it. Amado knows what happened, he had to do this in the past it seems, also, he never said what it was! Shikamaru has been there since all the kids were born, he knows more about Sasuke and Naruto than anyone else, there's no way he could forget Boruto just doesn't make sense. It would make sense if Shikamaru was feigning being under her jutsu to fool the enemy into returning to the leaf.

Also, I'm betting on Sakura and Kakashi, we didn't see them in the last 2 chapters at all, also they weren't in the scene where Boruto is standing across from everyone in ch. 79. Plus, that bitch is a Genjutsu master, she can block mind transfer jutsu too, we know SHE has a strong will and who trained her with genjutsu? Kakashi. It would make sense to have a couple of adults not affected as well. Sarada's talent for genjutsu due to inheritance is insane. Her mother was talented, but it was never really built upon. Her grandfather and uncle were both wicked genjutsu users. The way she was able to fool those pirates with just a 2 tomoe sharingan shows her talent for genjutsu. The way it focused on her sharingan when she opened it along with the sound gave me some Itachi vibes, signaling that genjutsu is going to sadara's strong suite in the future. I think that Sarada might be the next bonafide, robust genjutsu user on the level of Fugaku, Itachi and Shisui with her 3 tomoe and mangekyou. It's time to bring back the level of genjutsu that mind fucks you and leave you paralyzed. I'm hoping Sarada has that and a lot more. I can't wait to see what type of insane genjutsu she can place people under.

I don't think Sarada will go blind, Uchiha were more or less shrouded by a darkness, the only way they knew how to awaken the mangekyou therfore their vision falls into literal darkness when they use their abilities. Sarada awakening her mangekyou through love and light so it's possible her eyes won't fall into darkness and instead if she remains on the right path Yada Yada more light and her eyes abilities get stronger with more use.

The only way for Sarada not to be blind - simply not to use MS, or ask Sasuke for his original eyes. I'm pretty sure he has them somewhere. Curse of hate doesn't have a ANYTHING with *conditions* of awakening and usage of MS. Hate is possible post effect that can happen due to emotional distability of a person who recently had a huge loss. NO Uchiha awakened MS due hate. Itachi, Shisui, Kakashi, hadn't succumbed to hatred and still were losing sight. Obito, Sasuke, Madara succumbed to hatred and still were losing sight. But Obito had Hashirama cells. CURSE. OF. HATRED. Happens. AFTER. MS. The only thing Zetsu wrote is "Kill your best friend" instead of "Have strong emotions". Before Zetsu, after Zetsu, during curse of hatred, after curse of hatred mechanics of MS remains the same. User of MS loses sight not because of "hate/love" thing, but because during usage of MS they strain their eyes to the point they start losing sight.

Because it would look weird for Eida to not tell Konoha where Boruto is when she can clearly use her Shinjutsu to find him. I'm pretty sure Itachi got Tsukuyomi because of his complete dislike of conflict and violence as a whole. And thus a mental ability rather than a physical one. Obito disappeared and vanished like a ghost, fitting for someone who refers to themselves as nobody, his MS lets him act like one. Kakashi because he felt like everything he looks at vanishes before his eyes, his MS sends people to a different dimension. That design of Sarada with the MS was drawn by Kishimoto. I’ve always said that I think Kakashi will be the one to train Sarada. Sasuke is definitely going to be busy with Boruto now; even more than before w/ this whole “Eida-changing-peoples-memory” thing But I think Kakashi could train her very well because he’s had Sharingan so he knows the pros and cons of it & would know how far she can push herself while training with her new eyes. Remember that the stone tablet laid down in generations of Uchiha was tampered by Black Zetsu. This possibly includes the idea of killing a loved one to gain an MS. It could simply be strong feelings of love that could develop a sharingan. Come to think of it, most of them developed their regular sharingans w/o death. I saw someone else comment that these eyes being awakened by love might lead to them working differently from the normal MS… being consumed by hatred often leads to destroying yourself, so maybe the harsh power of MS born from hatred is what makes them eventually burn out. If this logic is correct, then MS born from love might not burn out, or at least last longer. Or it might alter the nature of its abilities. Ah, now to find out her MS Ability haven't fully watched it yet but i have a theory partly based on some naruto stuff i did, since this ms was awoken through love emplying that the cycle of hatred is finally closed, maybe this ms ability will be a more defensive one, to this idea i present the mirror lotus ability (i don't have an actual name for it) essentially reversing whatever ninjutsu you attempt to use on sarada back onto you, but in order to do so sarada would need the same amount of chakra that the jutsu needed, although i could be entirely wrong because i am an idiot, but i ask what you guys think about this idea?

To be fair I could see a version of that. We do have like 3 different abilities like that. The third mitzukage had a water mirror jutsu that reflected everything back on the others, the tool madara used reflected all jutsu, and most importantly itachi's susano had a mirror the reflected all attacks.

I'm thinking Saradas MS ability will be: 1. Something to do with the sun, like some broken fire style where she can just incinerate anything the sun shines upon 2. Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your spoiler warning in your short about this chapter. I was able to click off without any issue and save myself from getting spoiled. I then got spoiled by someone else shortly after that and the mangekyo reveal got ruined for me. I hate spoilers and I appreciate the fact that you give good warnings before going into any. Emotions create a chemical reaction in the brain. Every emotion has a chemical that is connected to it. For example, Anger= Epinephrine, Love= Oxytocin. The Uchiha curse was about Indra's lust for power/ revenge for not being the favorite son. Negative emotions making chemical reactions that birth the MS. Uchiha have awakened MS( as far as I know) out of revenge, a lust for power or death... all connected to negative emotions. With Sarada breaking that curse, by awakening her MS with love and protection as the primary force. Positive emotions= different chemical reactions in the brain when the MS is being created. Making her MS uniquely birthed out of completely new chemical makeup, different from any other Uchiha's. It would be very interesting if Kishimoto gave Sarada's MS different properties. Maybe she doesn't go blind from overuse , or she can use techniques that would cause other Uchiha to go blind ,but not go blind in the eye. It would completely make sense if he did it, because scientifically a change like that is viable.

I’m thinking that Sarada will get a unique genjutsu mainly because Sakura was very gifted with genjutsu so it would seem right to capitalize on that. Like a mesh of Izanami and Tsukiyomi = Benzaitennyo. Giving her the ability to disrupt the flow of time and perception that could be the uno reverse card to Eida’s jutsu, but demands a shit ton of chakra, bringing in her seal that she inherits from Sakura. Is it not obvious that Sarada and Sumire are immune to Eida’s abilities because they love an Otsutsuki? Sarada can also train her MS under Kakashi if she does not join Sasuke. I could see a battle between Sasuke and Sarada that protects Sarada’s role as a spy while creating a way to get her EMS, which would partially parallel Sasuke’s and Itachi’s battle before Sasuke getting his EMS.

I thought that at first too but in the last chapter Eida references “this happened once before” in regards to her switching reality around her brought forth from “a wish” and momoshiki a few chapters earlier mentioned how her ability to make everyone fall in love with her is not an otsutsuki ability and he hasn’t seen it before. Meaning that she herself wished -for some unknown reason- for everyone to fall in love her (Otsutsuki and direct family not falling in love with her being the only exceptions for some unknown reason) So if that’s the case then Saruda and Sumire both “loving” boruto has nothing to do with that since they themselves are not Otsutski or Eidas family -that we know of.

Also, this was a really good chapter. I have consistently enjoyed the manga and I think that Boruto has taken steps to correct some of my complaints about the original series. And in some cases, like the scene where Boruto explains why he has not lost everything, elevate it further. Personally, I’m hoping she has an “upgraded” version of the Susanoo and 2 different MS abilities. I don’t think that she put Sasuke under a genjutsu just because of the narrative. I think it’s a character development moment for Sasuke where he completely trusts his daughter. That being said, I’m hoping for her to have a genjutsu ability that works even against Otsutsukis. Sarada awakening her MS through pure love could mean alot of different things. Her shape not only is similar to the sun, which in japanese culture represents the sun god Amaterasu aswell as being a sign of material and spiritual prosperity and a sign of renewed life, but it also could be interpreted as a flower, especially the red camellia, which has many petals around the center and represents love. My speculation is that they did this to show that with the awakening and wanting to protect not only her best friend but also potential love interest that she will have to live a new life in order to protect Boruto. As for MS abilities as cool as it would be to see the black flames of Amaterasu, i dont believe theyll go and give her the ability simply due to how she awoke her MS, it wasnt through hate and the death of a loved one, rather it was the unwavering desire to protect who she loves, the black flames that never stop burning always to me symbolized hate and never ending until every last bit is burned to ash, as that was what Itachi and Sasuke wanted at the time of their MS awakenings seeing someone they love die, either by their hand or anothers. It would be nice to see her get some sort of fire ability thats white since its pure or red for love, and maybe some sort of new genjutsu that can rival Eida like if she were able to manipulate their minds back and show them the true events that happened, could call it like Mahikari, which is the japanese word for "True Light" which would go great with the sun like design of her MS.

Have you ever talked about what would happen if a uchiha (maybe sasuke) and a senju (tsunade) had a child? Wouldn’t that be a rinnengan farming simulator?

There's a possibility that awakening ms through love instead of pain gives it different properties. Sarada might not even need Sasuke's eyes to make hers ems, they might just awaken as ems due to them being awakened properly.

Sasuke didnt need to kill Naruto to get MS, neither did Itachi beed to kill Shisui, it is the trauma that does it, but this MS awakening is STUPID AF, so weak and badly written
