Not to mention they have to compete with “Sakuna of rice and ruins” also release around same time. It’s really hard for rhythm game to face of again RPG game. Get overlooked is inevitable for MRD.

Sakuna was also super good, but I feel like that one kinda flew right under everyone's radar, too. I have a few friends who were interested, but the rice farming mechanics immediately turned them away from the game

Honestly, I can't think of a single other case of NCH doing creepyhot. I'm sure there's another example somewhere but its definitely not their modus operandi. Creepyhot/creepycute is more Liam Vicker's shtick. When NCH does creepy, its usually just pure bodyhorror *Shudders in eevee*.

It would make sense for Rat God to be there during the tutorial though. But making the game use a different "girlfriend" model for just the tutorial would probably require a bit more tinkering with the game than just replacing some graphic files.
