David McCallum, a wonderful actor, a wonderful man. As a teen in the early 60's I remember him well on the 'Man From Uncle' series. Truly a refined person with a lot of 'class'. Blessings.

So did I! I will miss him tremendously. Seen him in many tv programmes, movies, documentaries, attended a couple of plays in Atlanta (where I met him!) variety and listened to his beautiful voice narrate so many tales and tell many stories-with his wife and daughter. Loved his music as well! I read his first book and was waiting for his new book. RIP, David! I'll miss you!

I worked after school and I didn't have a bicycle plus I was too young to drive. So, I would run home to catch as much of The Man from UNCLE on TV. David McCallum fascinated me because I loved his Russian character as if he were really a Russian in life. The imagination of a teenage boy at work.

Even better, his sons are musically talented as were his parents! I tried oboe-yep, it was HARD, but I wasn't 8 when I started either. I wanted to be an intelligence officer ("spy") like my dad-who was also in the Army like David-but my dad said that was unlikely. I was better at riding my 10 Speed road bike in college. I also wanted to be a teacher like Hamilton Cade; I was better just as an artist. Maybe, I'll find a story I wrote in a drawer-like David did-and write a book instead because I doubt I'd make a very good medical examiner; I suck at higher mathematics.
