Have seen your other series on the Escape. We are going on the Bliss after three cruises on the Escape, this spring. Loved the Escape but looks like the Bliss even better with a bigger pool area and the observation lounge. Looking forward to seeing your next episodes!

Hi Mike Durkin! That's pretty cool! I absolutely love the Escape!!! The Observation lounge is just breathtaking, we spent some time in there to watch the sunrise, evening music, and to watch the islands as we pulled into port. I think it's a great addition :) enjoy your cruises and the Bliss is worth waiting for, I loved it! Happy, Happy Cruising to you!

Hi Thomas Mertz! That was the waterfront, deck 8, we were on deck 9 . I didn't mind because the Waterfront is great, it goes almost all the way around the ship with places to sit and restaurants to eat al fresco, and a couple bars.

Hi Deb! You are so pretty! I love your eyes! :-) I met you and Brian that first night in the District Brew House. (I was exploring the ship with my daughter.) When we were talking, I believe that your friend Carl said that this was his first Norwegian cruise. I am curious to know what he thought? Will he sail NCL again? What did he like and not like about it compared to other cruise lines? My mother-in-law was on this cruise with us, and it was also her first NCL cruise. She was missing having an atrium that goes up to to top deck of the ship and the traditional dining and she would prefer that everyone had to dress up fancier for dinner. I like being able to wear what I like. To give her that traditional dining experience, we were sure to ask for the same server each night in the Manhattan Room, which she liked. I love NCL! :-) Did Carl mention any of these differences? What time did you actually step onto the ship? Where did you eat lunch? Looking forward to watching the rest of your Bliss videos ! Thanks Diann! It was great to meet you!! I will have to have Carl respond on this comment too, I think overall he liked it. There are differences and not all good. I like freestyle to wear what I want on the ship too! I loved the waterfront and Observation Lounge, I believe the Waterfront was one of Donna and Carl's top things. I missed the piano bar although the music in The District Brewhouse was great so was the music in the Observation Lounge, that was really nice. I like the Atrium although I didnt find myself there very often, there was so much to do and see, especially being part of a group. We got on the ship 1045 or so, it was really quick :)

Diann J It was a pleasure meeting you (multiple times 👍) on the ship. I actually put my thoughts down in a thread on cruise critic. Here is the link: boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2613489-first-time-ncl-cruiser-thoughts/ If the link gets hidden you can find it under the NCL forums section posted on December 10th with the title “ First time NCL cruiser thoughts”. Short version is that I really loved it and was very suprised how much I did. There were some things that I feel are better on other lines but they get so much right. Donna and I go on Breakaway March 17th and we’ll see how we like NCL without being part of a group as we will be solo.

On Bliss it was the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Some issues with low light areas, but, to me, great anywhere else. :)

my wife and I are looking for cruise ship for our 30th anniversary in 2021. and hopefully with a Starbucks. we've heard great things about Norwegian . and selebrrty. just having trouble wirh picking a ship. any ideas? great vedio.

Hi Gene! Congratulations on your 30 year Anniversary that is really amazing and lovely! We have sailed Norwegian and Carnival and I definitely love Norwegian. I love the Escape but I dont know of they have put in a starbucks yet. It's a great ship, so if I had to pick I would say Bliss. Getaway, or Breakaway in that order. I absolutely love the Starbucks and I think it's worth paying for ;) you may want to pick the one with the ports you want!

We got on just before 11 am and sail away was at 4 right after muster, which was 330, so not much we made our last phone calls as we were leaving before the last buildings passed us then we went to airplane mode

You will have to check with NCL to find out what you personally need. We brought our passports and that did the trick.

This ship was build for Alaska cruises, that's why the lounge have large windows.

@@myeeshaperry1089 my favorite restaurant was Los Lobos (because vegetarian and gluten free), Brian's favorite was Q (meat, meat) lol, I really loved this restaurant, the service was great and the food was even better in my opinion. There are a ton of Lyft and uber in the area we've never had a problem, taxis too if your in a time crunch
