NCL Encore Vlog 1 Embarkation Day

LOL!! Accidental tips! Sometimes those are the best ones! Had the opportunity to cruise on the NCL Viva this past January. I enjoyed the "newness" of the ship but it seemed as though the designers did not consider some of the places that would become "bottle neck" or choke points when you have a couple hundred people attempting to do the same thing at the same time. The main theatre was amazing but the smaller venues were not large enough to comfortably seat very many people. I liked the new technology for ordering food and such. Heard several people complain about having to pay extra for things they thought were included in their package. I found you have to read their packages very carefully for that reason. NCL is nice but I am not convinced the juice is worth the squeeze. I looking forward to the rest of your NCL Vlog to see what you all think. It was a nice cruise, just not sure if NCL was the best value for my dollar. 😎😎😎

What type of room did you book and what latitudes level are you? Did you have priority access boarding?

We’re Bronze. So we’re still NCL babies, and we did not have priority access. We had a 10:00 check in, but our drive from the hotel was awful with traffic. I think in the future we will opt for a little bit later arrival time

How would you rate the Encore? I've never been on the Encore or out of Miami yet!

We loved the ship. The food was great. Our only complaint- which is strictly a personal preference is that we felt the Entertainment was a little ho-hum at times for our taste, but everyone has different tastes

@SandySunTravel yeah I just got off the Prima 12Jan24 and the Donna Summer show was the only show we wanted to see, but they had non-stop technical difficulties and they ended up putting us in for the 6:30pm show on the last night even though we had a Cagney's Steakhouse reservation at 6pm.
