Thank you for sharing and bringing back lovely memories for us. We were there in 2022 but since our ship docked in La Specia, we took a ferry which was very convenient. We also visited the '6th Cinque Terre village 😂' i.e Portovenere which was really lovely and we were the only tourists there ❤

Hi! My wife and I will be travelling on the NCL Escape this coming November to the 9 day Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Italy too. I do not see Cinque Terre on the list of the places to travel. How did you plan this side trip? And why did you guys decide to visit here instead of Tuscany, Pisa or Florence?
@corefouradventures28613 ай бұрын
Oh, you’re going to have a great time. Cinque Terre is near Tuscany on the coast. Our trip was for Pepper’s birthday and he really wanted to go there. It was about the same distance from Livorno as Florence. We had an overnight in Livorno so we went to Florence and Pisa on the second day. Tune in this Sunday to see that trip😁 As for Cinque Terre, we took the train to La Spazia then on to Cinque Terre. We wish we’d left a little earlier but it was completely do-able. Hopefully this answered your questions. Let us know if you have more questions 😁🚢

How long did you take to cover the whole trip ? Guess it will take at least 8 - 10 hours. @@corefouradventures2861

Hi! Great vlog series so far! I subscribed! I will be sailing on the Escape in Oct. I didn't put Cinque Terre on the agenda, but now I am second guessing my decision. Thinking of Xing Pisa for this. We have two days on Livorno. Now I am thinking one day in Florence and the other in Cinque Terre. Do you mind sharing estimated time spent in Cinque Terre?
@corefouradventures28613 ай бұрын
@@mygirlash1 We got a late start so only about 3 1/2 hours. But, if you get an earlier start you could have the full day. 😁 We had an overnight in Livorno too! We did Florence with a quick stop by Pisa on the way back. So, it’s completely possible to do both. Thanks for subscribing and we’ll see you Sunday! 😁❤️

You mentioned that it was quite the journey to get to Cinque Terre, but can I how you got there? Did you take the ship bus to Livorno Municipal Center, LAM Blue to Train Station, Train to LaSpezia, and lastly train to Cinque Terre?
@corefouradventures28612 ай бұрын
Yes, we took the shuttle to the Municipal Center, it was €13 per person. You could not just walk out of the port. From there, we walked to the closest bus stop. This was confusing and difficult to find where to buy the ticket. We took the blue LAM to the train station. Be very careful and make sure you validate any tickets. Including the ones on your phone. We watched them fine people €40 for not realizing they had to validate. We then took Trenitalia to La Spezia and then onto Cinque Terra. There were taxis across from the municipal center, but they were looking for groups to take all the way to Cinque Terre. The train station was not exceptionally big. The buses were confusing. It felt intentional to be able to fine tourists. On the way back the last shuttle is at 10 PM. There is no way to get in the port without it. So, we really had to watch our time in Cinque Terre to make sure we were back in time for the last shuttle. In hindsight, we probably would have had a better trip if we booked a transfer bus from Viator like we did for Florence. Hope that helps!😁🚢

Another question for the return to the ship, do you also take the LAM Blue bus?
@corefouradventures28612 ай бұрын
@@mygirlash1 Yes, We took the trin back to Livorno. The blue LAM bus back to the Municipal Center and the shuttle bus back to the ship. That €13 you pay in the morning is round trip on the shuttle bus 😁🚢

What is the port area is like in Cagliari & Ibiza? Did you go to a beach at either of these places?
@corefouradventures28613 ай бұрын
@@MerryVaughn58 We actually stayed on the ship in Cagliari. We had planned on going to the beach and it does look fairly close and easy to get to. But we were exhausted from running for multiple days and enjoyed the ship that day. We did go to the beach in Ibiza. It was actually really easy. We went to Talamanca Beach. It was beautiful and I highly recommend. But if you want an umbrella and chairs, you should call and reserve them ahead of time. They were sold out by the time we got there. We just walked out of the port to the taxi stand. It was a five minute walk. And the taxi was rather affordable. When we were ready to leave the beach, we just waited for a taxi to come by. It took maybe 10 minutes before one came and got us. Hope this helps! 😁🚢

@@corefouradventures2861 Is it walkable to get to the beach in Ibiza?
@corefouradventures28613 ай бұрын
@@KM-cv5px We took a taxi for just a few dollars. I think $10 or less each way. It wasn’t far but the roads were pretty confusing. I think you could but, it was so much easier and with 4 of us it was well worth the $10.
