Hello Bram. I hope you get to see this comment. I’ve just booked my first NCL cruise(not my first cruise though). I told the lady on the phone that it was because of you, told her about your channel and just how enthusiastic you are, and she took a note of your name. I hope they offer you a great deal, you do so much great work for NCL. Edited to add: it will be my first time traveling without my husband, I’m taking my adult daughter for her first cruise. I’m so, *so* afraid of travelling without my husband, I don’t know if I should book us an overnight in Miami for before our cruise (10 days to the Caribbean, traveling from the UK) but I am excited to take my daughter on her first cruise.

First of all Julie, thank you soooo much for mentioning me. It's stuff like what you just did that will truly help me create more content and get recongnized. If you are used to relying on your husband when traveling I can imagine it's a bit daunting but it will improve your experience in the end. You'll have to team up with your daughter and any challenges will increase your bond. Be prepared as good as you can and once you leave focus on enjoying the adventure. Smile when something goes wrong. Arriving a day early will definately lower your stress. And plan everything out as good as you can. KZbin is a great resource for all this. I can spend months doing this, I consider it cruise foreplay! You'll be fine aslong as you consider it to be an adventure instead of a hassle. And remind yourself to enjoy every second!

I cruised from Miami on Getaway middle February, did not have to show ESTA before boarding. However, upon returning I did have to show it to customs.

We just got off the Getaway this morning (April 24) and it was not a very positive cruise. IT was Spring break for most of the US and we had 4300 guests (1200 kids) with 100 less crew members. Embarkation day on April 17 had some people board the boat as late as 8pm. Complete chaos, subpar food at La Cucina and Cagneys. Guess what saved the day? Our family thought of you and ordered the Grilled Steak medium rare and it far surpassed the filet mignon in La Cucina and the Ribeye in Cagneys. The ship layout was not sufficient for 4300 guests but Bermuda (our destination) was beautiful by day 3. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your videos.

So sorry to hear this! Are you saying this time should be avoided? Is Spring break a bad thing because of drinking/partying or as in real young kids? I wasn't too impressed with La Cucina I must say. But when Cagneys is subpar... And for the record, steaks for me must be rare. But I'm happy I inspired you for the better nevertheless! 🤣 At times I wished our cruise had móre people, for the vibe, but hearing you, I'll reconsider.

@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY Wow. Thanks for the quick reply. Spring break this round was a disaster because the kids camp were all closed due to lack of staffing/Covid. How does it affect couples without kids? The same children had parents who wanted to drink, use the spa and hang out at the pools. Those same kids ended up taking over many venues except for Haven. With the massive amount of guests and not enough crew, the buffet was overwhelmed and they even ran out of food at some of the stations. I bet this has never happened on any of your cruises. It has never happened to any of my 6 cruises until now. The teenagers were constantly in the casino and preteens were congregating on the stairs not allowing people to freely travel. However, let's talk about what really surpassed my expectations. On Day 1, I went straight to headliners and booked a table for day 7's Tropicana. Why? I had table # 1 (next to the dance floor). and by 5:30pm, 12 dancers from Burn the Floor were performing mere inches from me. I've never seen any of the performers this close. When they left after 30 minutes, they had a live performance and I didn't want to leave save the issue of wanting to allow somebody else to eat dinner where I sat. I look forward to seeing your professionally edited videos.

Just got off Getaway last week. 1500 passengers. The crew told us about the Spring Week craziness, but it made time go quickly for them. We had so much service for every meal. We didn't have to wait for anything. Like our own cruise ship😉
