I don't understand. Infinite is very fun to watch and very very versatile. How come it's losing players? It looks way more fun than Dragon Ballz.

A few factors. 1.) I own DB Fightersz and I already uninstalled it. It looks great, but auto combos just... kill it for me. And the fact that 80% of the combos work the same for 80% of the cast. (L, L, Down M, M, Jump Cancel, L, M, Super) makes it boring for me. I play fighting games to learn match ups and find new ways of fighting, and DB Fighterz makes me feel like I've learned enough in a few weeks to be good with most of the cast. But still. It looks great. That's what a lot of people are still drawn into. It's a wonderful looking game that puts people in awe now. At Best, MvCi looks like a 2012 game. That matters to some people. 2.) No one has ever played these Dragon Ball characters as Arc Sys has imagined them. Contrast to the base game of 4 new characters out of 30 being new, and having to pay more money for new characters to the series (save for venom who is a returning favorite.) 3.) This ties into 2... but we're freaking tired of Capcom. It's taken 2 years, 2 dlc character packs, eventual story mode added a few months in, and a complete revamp of the game to AE to finally get Street Fighter V to seem like it's just NEAR what it should have been during launch. And the game still feels bad. Again, I own it and it still doesn't give me the rush as Sf3 Third Strike. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite came at a time where costumer faith was already at an all time low. And what did we see? Horrible graphics. 4 new characters out of 30. "Functions"... what most players saw was a lack of respect for the game by the developers, so there was a lack of respect for it from the customers. I believe it is probably a really fun game. But capcom didn't do anything that deserves my money to me. A lot of people feel that way.

exactly why I uninstalled dbz fighters. It really just kills the excitement of training with how combos work in the game. I get that it was designed for casual players, but holy hell. After training mode for like abit I was bored. And this is from a HUGE dbz fan.

RevolutionCPT You both need to hop back in fighters getting optimal combos with each character is different. The game has a problem with not all characters being viable at high level right now but once you get passed that beginning part of not knowing anything and facing bad opponents it's a completely different game.

Joshua Sweeney we never mentioned optimal combos. We both know. Just the option is there. I'm just not a fan of the inputs and streamlining. Again the game is an awesome balance for newcomers to get into and veterans to play, but I want a wider gap. But thats what guilty gear is for. I like how Hit has rekkas and canceling. Kinda wish more characters were like that. I also really want more balance on the assist. Team fighters like this and marvel have this problem naturally where some assist are amazing, but I see ALOT of useless assist and only a select few (vegeta) being used alot. I want more creativity and open options with this. But I watch every fighting game and keep up with games i still don't play incase new tech arrives.

Joshua Sweeney optimal combos barely differ with each character . It's llmm,special move cancel, assist , jump cancel , repeat etc with minior adjustment for each character . That's a fact

This game is just barely good, but I can't help but ask "where is the REST of this game???". It's not even just about the X-Men/F4 Characters. I just get the distinct feeling that Capcom are holding on to a large part of this game's development as a whole for a later date which may never come. I know this conversation has been had to death at this point, but the thoughts just came to mind again while watching these competitors using characters I haven't seen much on a competitive level (Winter Soldier, Rocket Raccoon).

Narbles Narbles I wish Disney didn't try to rush and make this a bare bones as game. Capcom is at fault too, but Disney/marvel tried to push so much shit and removed so much. They ruined what could have been one of the best marvel vs capcom games.

I don't think Disney rushed this game. Capcom put out a bare bones Street fighter (at full price) only to add core features down the line. And people praise them saying they are listening and trying fix things.

ONEPUNCHMAN yeah, but also look at the roster decisions, obvious character cuts (marvel didn't have rights to X-Men and fantastic 4), and decision to do this with infinity stones again with everything tied to cinematic universe. Even the DLC choices. All marvel Disney movie characters mostly. They wanted a cash grab before infinity wars. I doubt capcom would have made this since it's an obvious spin off and not actually called marvel vs capcom 4. Capcom is also doing terrivle finacially aside from monster Hunter (which also probably why capcom agreed being greedy). Capcom still made a lazy game, but the cause of this was obviously marvel.
