NCR Belt Model Self Checkout at King Kullen - Commack, NY

This is the second of five self checkout videos I'm uploading today.
For an NCR self checkout, this is a pretty rare find, as there are not many belt model NCRs. Overall, this is a better performer than a lot of NCR's POS (that doesn't stand for point of sale...) bag models.

I sure do miss King Kullen but I don't miss those NCR Scanners. Now Shoprite and Walmart has these devices.

In tesco near me they did have belt ones. I think the second belt is a sensor to sense the item, a bit like the bagging area

Has the UK banned the belt machines?

Just like English NCR machines, but we don't have belted models. Once when I was at Co-op the scanner was up to its tricks again and all it said was "key in the items code or lookup item " and I was like "I'm trying to scan something using your stupid scanner!!!" At Co-op when something doesn't scan all the attendant says is "put in the code".

+nyrngrs15 yes the exact store went bankrupt and couldnt pay rent so it was sold to whole foods before being closed they did have liquidation sales and had a coming son sign after closure bethpage fcu moved to harned road after staying after closure they were forced to move before demolition. store opened in 1998 so be on lookout for whole foods regards Andy
