No need to apologize, Simon. This group is incredible, and “Ay Yo” features some of their very best choreo. Jungwoo and Doyoung kill it on the bridge. I kind of understand: I’m aware of people who absolutely loved other Kpop groups who upon discovering 127 found themselves having to rethink their biases.

In my head there’s a lineage of sm boy group centres that all give off the same ultimate performer vibe and all of whom have gone on to be some of the first in their group to become a soloist: Taemin, Kai, Taeyong and Ten. It also just so happens that they’re all in superm, further proving it to be the super group of super groups.

I LOVE THIS CHOREOGRAPHY SO MUCH! Rie Hata is a GENIUS. The way the chore feels complicated and interesting yet somehow still organic because of the ways they connections are made through the dance and the formations not being so totally linear, and leaving space for individual style within the movement.... it's MIND BLOWING to me. I am so happy to have you pause and re-watch sections and talk about things you notice that are super cool. When it comes to dancing, maybe the splits can be different than verse and chorus when it comes to dance, more with whatever different sections seem to be apparent in the choreo, like from a major formation change to another kind of a thing? But. This choreo is so special and I am happy and it makes sense for you to repeat things, personally!

Taeyong is one of my ults in NCT and your love and praise of him is much appreciated lmao on top of being an insanely talented dancer, rapper, singer, writer and producer, he’s also an amazing leader. And he’s a sweetie pie! So sad that he’s actually enlisting in the military today. But the time will pass quickly I’m sure, NCT always have too much going on.

This is one of my fav choreos of theirs, it suits them so well (done by the amazing Rie Hata). There is so much to look at and so many cool details and all them are showcased doing something cool and interesting. P.S. As a big Taeyong fan, Simon, you must one day watch the live performance of him and Mark doing their rap duet: Undercover. It's only been done live in concert (only in Japan I think...) but I hope one day you will get to enjoy it and all the other MarkYong legendary moments. xx

Simon, every time I watch your reactions, I like you more and more. Now that I know you are Taeyong-biased, it explains so much! I cannot wait for you to dig more into Taeyong’s solo work. The man can pull off any concept and experiments with so many genres, and every time, it’s still somehow so him. His writing/composing and singing/rapping creativity is amazing! True artist!
