also as someone who listens to nct quite a lot there is a clear difference between the Japanese & Korean version. i prefer the japanese version bc idk the flow just sounds better. i might be just saying that because it's the first version that came out so i'm more used to it but yeah in general with all groups, i always end up liking the original versions and not the others. i can only make an exception for Regular Korean & English Version because they both sound amazing!!!!

Same here. Once you get use to hearing a song in one language, it just sounds funny in another. The syllables just don't seem to fit.

This song is a message to Tokyo, therefore the members wore words reading "from seoul, to tokyo" it's not really a correlation of where they're from (theres one Japanese member in this unit and nct in general). Nice reaction though! I'm glad you like them. I definitely recommend checking out the dance practice for this song in particular, as you guys mentioned, the formations really are great

Probably cause Seoul is where the group is based. Since 127 also has members from China, Japan, Canada, & Chicago but they didn't have that written on them.

This is my favourite NCT song. I recommend you be careful with reacting to Japanese videos like this one. I don't know why but Japan is very strict with copyright laws even if this comes from a Korean group. Some people may say that they've seen reactions to this MV before, I've heard reactors say that they won't react to it on KZbin but that it is on their Patreon. Just a heads up is all. The dance practice of Chain is worth a look.

I love Chain! I typically watch the dance practice video over the music video though. Something about the visuals is just not appealing, too many cuts I think. But the choreography is fire so the dance practice is very satisfying.

The writing on their face isn't where they're from. It's supposed to be part of their concept as a group. NCT - stands for Neo Culture Technology and NCT 127 (127 being the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul, S. Korea), their concept is to spread kpop throughout the world, starting with Seoul. Chain was the unit's first Japanese mini album and they wrote on their bodies "From Seoul" and "To Tokyo", relating to their concept.

In NCT in total there are a couple of foreign members i'll name them Johnny - USA (Chicago) - NCT 127 Mark - Canada - NCT 127, NCT U & NCT DREAM (which he just recently graduated from and it was the saddest thing ever :((() WinWin - China - NCT 127 & he will also debut in the new subunit NCT China Chenle - China - NCT DREAM & you may ask why he wont be in the new chinese subunit but apparently it has something to do with the Chinese labour laws and how he is underage to be working '2 jobs' if that makes sense? (in international age he just turned 17) so yeah maybe eventually when he hits the chinese adult age he will be allowed to join but idk. These members will be joining the other chinese members in NCT Vision and i'll give as much info as i can on them! XiaoJun - China - age 19, He can play guitar, piano, drums and ukelele, He can write and compose his own songs. Yang Yang - age 18- from what i believe, He was born in Taiwan and he spent most of his adolescence in Germany but his ethnicity is Chinese. He has both nationalities tho, German & Chinese. He is fluent in German, English, Chinese and Korean. Hendery, born Wong Kun Hang - China - age 19

Thanks for your comment cause there was stuff I wasn't aware of. While I knew Ten was from Thailand I wasn't aware he was was ethnically Chinese & therefore gonna be in the Chinese subunit as well. Also, I wasn't aware that the Chinese subunit was gonna be called NCT Vision cause I would just hear people say NCT China & then also talk about NCT Vision & thought they were two different things! And although Mark is Canadian & Johnny is American they are both ethnically Korean, right? (just wondering since I wasn't aware of Ten's Chinese heritage and it's very interesting!)

"From Seoul" and "To Tokyo" is like... hmm... They want to be famous in the world, you know? And "Tokyo" is because "Chain" is in japanese. The boys with the words are not all koreans. You have Mark(canadian), Johnny(american), Winwin(chinese) and there is just Yuta who is japanese.
