They actually have a concept of having an unlimited number of members, divided into multiple sub-groups. Just like EXO, though EXO's not an unlimited group though they are divided into 2 sub-groups. NCT is just bigger in number and in sub-groups.

Advantage? Having more members to synchronize with and look like one seems a lot harder with more members. It's hard either way but I don't see having more members as having an advantage, it's probably a disadvantage if anything.

i wouldnt say advantage but when a group has a lot more members and are good dancers its easier to get good formations and its very pleasing to the eye. for example seventeen and nct are filled with incredible dancers and because theres a lot of them, its looks good when theyre synchronised.

hyucklee agreed, it’s harder to stay in sync and stuff but you can create really cool visuals like in marks verse where they kind of hold him up and they form this really pretty formation. You couldn’t do that with like 8 members or less.

NCT is a big brand and then it's split into 3 different groups but NCT has 18 members then the 3 groups that are split up are NCT 127 then NCT U then NCT DREAM. NCT DREAM/U constantly change bc NCT DREAM is the members that are teenagers so when they turn 20 they move to NCT U (ik very confusing but if you actually are interested in learning then you would get it) BUT NCT 127 NEVER CHANGES I BELIEVE

Rob, Lisa has done a dance with members of NCT, BTS and other kpop idols. One thing about group dancing, especially for those that plan on singing/rapping as well, is that the choreography is always created to highlight each person's singing or rapping. So formations will change so that person can get to the front and/or center. Often times dances move will be made to interpret the words they are saying at the time also. So this is something you'll see in almost every kpop choreography. It becomes impressive the more people are in a group though. That means more formation changes and lots of traveling and they each have to stay in their bubble as Jasmine put it. Lastly, most dance practice videos in kpop are not actually them practicing, which is why they are dressed so nicely and even wearing makeup. They know they're going to be on camera but they already have all the moves down, so they do their hair, cover up any blemishes and wear nice clothes that they own. You'll know its a real dance practice when they are all wearing ratty no name shapeless clothes with limp, sweaty hair and ball caps to cover their faces. That goes for girl groups too.
