K-pop isn't exactly 'pop', its just a term used for Korean music. K-pop could be like 'pop', like in the West, it could be more R&B, could be hip-hop, basically any genre or even mixed genres in the same song. BTS's music could be classified as 'pop', kinda like in the West, coz their music is aimed at a broad audience so lots of people will be able to enjoy their music regardless if they are fans or not. Whereas, NCT is more niche (in terms of their title tracks) and maybe not to everyone's taste. So you can't just compare k-pop groups coz all k-pop groups are different from each other in some way. Personally, I like NCT more. But that's just me and my taste in music.
