wow mark and haechan really deserve this recognition as members who shined the most this year after so many comebacks and promotions!! i hope my boys are fine and happy, i'm so proud😭 so deserves taeyong, as we could find a lot of new sides of him this year, as a lyricist/producer, choreographer, judge/mentor.. i'm sure that he has a lot to share and this is just the beginning! but if i remember well, i picked the 4th one on this category: jaehyun~ bc for some reason he got stuck in my mind this year! i think his charismatic personality shined a lot to my eyes, and i love how many different roles he played on the recent 127 album/repack.. he was a vocalist, a rapper and he ate both (moves and killing parts included!! his solo performance at THE LINK, self-composed, was the cherry on top, even though i'm still heartbroken for his aborted acting debut 💔 actually all neos have been growing a lot in front of our eyes and i'm so glad to witness that! their solo songs, collabs, stages, new subunits, tv show appearances, radio, musical, brand gigs, youtube series and more are all good highlights of the year, and i pray for 2022 to be even fuller of them 💚 thank you, bestie ncteaparty for this interactive video!! i lov your channel, may u too have a blessed year ahead ✨

For me NCT Dream was the big winner in 2021. Towards the end of 2020 SM realized "hey due to our rule of Dream members leaving the group when they turn 20, Mark left the group in 2018 and soon Renjun Haechan Jeno and Jaemin will leave. Instead of having those 4 graduate, let's bring Mark back, keep this as a fixed unit and shift to a more mature concept. That means we'll give them good opportunities and good promotions too." It definitely paid off. Hot Sauce and Hello Future were some of the most popular Kpop releases of 2021 (Jisung broke a billion records like "the youngest person ever to do this and that") and now 4 out of 7 Dream members are in the NCT U promotions.

To me WayV activities were actually not that bad because everyone got to try something new. After their first week of promotions for their March comeback (Kick Back) Lucas and Winwin went to China for personal schedules. The 5 remaining members (Kun, Ten, Xiaojun, Hendery, Yang Yang) completed the rest of the promotions. After that there were some smaller projects (Xiaojun and Kun subunit comeback, Ten solo comeback, Ten and Yang Yang subunit comeback). Hendery and Lucas (returned from China after a few months, Winwin stayed till the end of 2021) were meant to do a subunit comeback but Lucas unexpectedly went on hiatus just before so that's been paused for now. Ten stayed in Korea long enough to record all the content for NCT2021 (like the WayV track video Miracle) and then left for China where he stayed till the end of 2021. Towards the end of 2021, Kun Xiaojun Hendery and Yang Yang were filming for a Korean variety show as well as personal vlogs and content for the WayV KZbin channel. So yes, even though they only did one group comeback, they still had a good year overall other than Lucas being falsely accused of some bad stuff and being forced to go on hiatus.

Can I just say that whoever picked the track list for NCT2021 knew the subunits so well. NCT127 is the best at intense and sexy songs, Dream has cool hip-hop vibes and WayV has done many chill/R&B English songs in the past like Love Talk. Earthquake Dreaming and Miracle are perfect for 127, Dream and WayV respectively.

Sorry for this lengthy Comment :))) Watching this made me remember why NCT is my ult group. I never stan groups but someting about them made me. I discovered them during 127's Touch promotions (Still one of my fav tracks from them to this date); listen to their other titles but stopped right there. Not until I saw the Hot Sauce Album teasers, which to this day is one of the mosts good looking albums imo. I listen to this album non stop, It made me watch any NCT crumbs that I can find. Thanks to this album to the Hot Sauce Album to which I found my kpop stan group. Omg, this was such a great, wholesome video! 2021 was literally NCT's year. Absolutely loved the subscribers' picks because I actually didn't know who was gonna win which category! So glad Beautiful won Best MV. Totally deserved after the emotional roller coaster it put me through 😭😭 I saw another awards video a couple days ago and the bias was so prominent that it sucked out all the fun of an awards video because you kinda figured who was going to come out on top since the winners were editor's pick. It was completely different from this video -- this was a lot more enjoyable! Anyhow, thanks for making this! Subscribed!
