Big Toe lmao i get u! i like how sm allows the idols to be however chaotic they want to be (most of the time)! majority of idols in sm are self-aware and educated! but they also strip away some of their choices as well :( they can’t speak out about world problems (black lives matter), they don’t allow them to apologize for mistakes that they’ve done (being racist, saying something controversial), their mistreatment towards chinese members (luhan, tao, kris and winwin are HUGE examples), bad managers (idk about now but before nct had managers that didn’t care good care of them and stopped them from being themselves), not properly protecting idols from unneeded hate, overworking idols, “favoritism” to certain members, etc etc JDJDJ sm may have amazing idols but there’s so much wrong with the company itself :(

Stan Talented Groups btob are known for being a very chaotic group thats not afraid of being outgoing with jokes, loud, etc (i would recommend looking up some compilations to see for yourself!!). ilhoon saying “what is this?” in response to jaemin being himself (as in super extra) means that even he’s surprised at jaemin’s personality, which is rare considering ilhoon comes from one of the most uniquely weird kpop groups ever. this means that even jaemin’s personality is a whole other realm of unique rarely ever seen in idols, which is a good thing :)
