This video actually says a lot. What people don’t notice is that it doesn’t matter whether you go to school or become an idol, life is hard these days. Everyone’s lives are so career focused. Instead of playing resting and studying a bit, the students go to school, attend cram school then again study at home. There’s clearly a difference between elementary school kid and the middle schoolers.

뭔가 되게 몽글몽글하네 아이돌은 연생 때 학교를 다닌다고 해도 보통 연습실에 있는 시간이 더 많으니까 친구들이랑 추억도 많이 없을 거고 학교생활에서의 추억도 다른 애들보다는 적을 텐데 저렇게 학생들이 어떻게 보내는지 들으면서 뭔가 나는 어땠었지 회상하기도 하고 내가 연습생이 아니었으면 그냥 평범한 일상을 보내는 학생이었다면 어땠을까 생각도 해보게 됐을 것 같음 학교생활 하면서 친구들이랑 추억도 쌓고 가족들이랑 더 붙어서 많은 걸 했어도 좋았겠다 하면서 가끔은 그런 생각이 들겠지만 연습생 생활 하면서 지금의 멤버들과도 좋은 추억들 쌓고 지금도 그러고 있으니까 항상 아프지 말고 건강하게 쭉 활동했으면 좋겠다 그냥 엔시티로서 지금 잘하고 있다고 너무 멋진 인생을 살고 있다고 말해주고 싶음 예쁜 우리 드림이들 고맙다 데뷔해줘서

근데 지성이가 초등학생 부터 연습생을 했는데 친구들하고 놀았던 기억이 초등학생 때 기억이라고 하니까 조금 마음이 쓰리다 하도 연습생을 너무 어려서 부터 시작 했으니까 중고등 때 학창 시절 추억이 다른 사람들은 똑같이 있는데 지성이만 없다는게 진짜 마음이 아프다 지성이의 청소년 때는 연습에 데뷔에 그 어린 나이에 감당 못할 상황이나 순간들이 많았을 텐데 연습생 시간이랑 데뷔 합쳐서 거의 8~9년 동안 버텨 줘서 고마워 지성아

아이돌이기 때문에 포기하는 것들이 있고 학생이기 때문에 포기하는 것들이 있는듯 무슨 직업(학생을 포함한)이던지 그것에 사명감을 가지고 열심히, 열정적으로 하는 사람들이라면 무조건적으로 포기하는게 있는 것 같아 세상은 결과만 보니까. 아이돌은 TV에 보여지는 모습으로 학생은 성적표로 그 결과가 단적으로 보여지니까 완벽하고 손색없는 결과를 만들기 위해서 노력을 하려면 그 뒤편엔 무조건 희생이 뒤따르는 것 같아 결론적으론 세상을 정말 열심히 살아가는 사람들, 자신의 일과 그것의 아웃풋을 위해 많은 것들을 포기한 사람들 다 멋지다구요 빛나는 사람들은 괜히 빛나는 사람들이 아니라는 거 모두가 알았음 좋겠다

It makes me really sad that the high school student skips dinner so she can keep studying without getting tired despite the fact that even with that “saved” time, she still isn’t sleeping until 10 or 11. When asked about how she relieves stress, she didn’t even have an answer - just recalled something that motivated her to work harder than she already is. Her teacher must have been worried about her. Expectations on Korean students are too high - I hope she’s healthy and can find time to rest. TBH, I even experienced sleeping for only 30 minutes because I have to study the entire night for our Anatomy test the following day. Same, like these 2 may look so different in the outside. One is labelled as the weird introvert and the other is the innocent boy. But truly these 2 are pretty similar with each other, they are very mature and they know themselves well. Agreed! Everyone has their own intricate nuances in their lives; whether it be hardships, memories, hobbies, etc., we are all living our complex lives. It’s quite overwhelming to think about - the fact that everyone’s minds are so different in so many ways. I think it’s a beautiful thing :). I’ll be going to traditional in-person schooling in a month or so and I haven’t been practicing my instrument for months. Tomorrow (well… in 14 minutes =/) it will be July 1st. Looking back to my early college days as a medical student, there have been ups and downs throughout my journey too. However, my mother, who is a very successful doctor, would oftentimes remind me these principles, "if you feel tired, take some rest. but always remember not to give up. keep going, keep fighting. at the end of the day, everything will all be worth it" and "it doesn't matter even if you're not the smartest, most talented or skillful in your class. what matters is your overall character/attitude. never lost it because this important tool will be a great factor which determines your future success on your chosen career path" 😊✨ And because of these 2 principles I learned from her, I'm proud to say that finally, I'll be graduating on the last day of July then take the board exam by December 2021 💚

this is a great content tbh. everyone thinks being an idol is about practicing and then boom your perform on stage. but nobody knows the effort they put, the uncertainties they faced of debuting and even after debuting. I suddenly remembered that renjun said they were supposed to debut before 127.. can u imagine how johnny felt after training for almost 10 years? If I were him, I'd pack my bag but him being Johnny Suh didnt gave up on his dreams although his friends as in exo debuted first Plus what the dreamies faced after turning 20 was hella scary. debuting and then theres nothing planned for them. The best decision SM ever made was making dream a fixed unit

Yeah but Johnny didn’t stay in SoKor the entire 10 years, he went back and forth to Chicago and even graduated College. Dreamies were pressured to at least finish middle school before they had to drop out and attend online classes just to receive their high school diploma. If they didn’t debut or were unsuccessful after all these sacrifices, they would’ve been considered as failures (as an adult) if they returned to ‘normal student routine’.
