NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology. They are a group of 23 members separated into 4 sub-units, with overlap of members amongst the units. There is NCT 127, who have 10 members but only 9 are actively promoting as of 2019. They debuted in July of 2016. There is NCT DREAM, who have 7 members, the 2 youngest of NCT 127 (Mark and Haechan) are also a part of Dream. They debuted in August of 2016. There is WayV, they make music in Mandarin Chinese and they dont have NCT in their name because of political tension between China and South Korea. WayV is also a 7 member group, the inactive member of 127 (Winwin) has been only actively making music with WayV since their debut in January of 2019. And then there is NCT U, they are a rotational unit which means their member lineup isnt permanent. Anyone in any of the other units can be in NCT U and from song to song its mostly completely different people together. Every single member of NCT has been in an NCT U song. There are 2 members of NCT who dont belong to a unit yet (Shotaro and Sungchan), because they were recently added in 2020, and they have only done songs as a part of NCT U. NCT U is the first unit to release music, the first lineup had debuted in April of 2019. NCT has Korean, Chinese,Thai, and Japanese members of varying nationalities. Out of the 23 members 13 of them werent born in South Korea, and of the 13 foreigners 11 arent Korean at all. Johnny (NCT 127) and Mark (NCT 127 and NCT DREAM) are both ethnically Korean, but Johnny was born in the US and Mark was born in Canada. Kun (WayV), WinWin (NCT 127 and WayV), Xiaojun (WayV), Renjun (NCT DREAM), and Chenle (NCT DREAM) are Chinese, born in China. Hendery (WayV) is ethnically Chinese but was born in Macau. Yangyang (WayV) is ethnically Chinese but was born in Taiwan and before joining their company lived in Germany for about 6 years. Ten (WayV) and Lucas (WayV) are ethnically Chinese and Thai, but Ten was born in Thailand and Lucas was born in Hong Kong. And Yuta (NCT 127) and Shotaro (NCT U) are Japanese, born in Japan.

I am happy to see our boys back in action with their first full album since their previous comeback “RIDIN”. As you found out Mark is part of this comeback, even though Mark has been back with NCT Dream for awhile now even after he graduated in Dec 2018 but SM brought him back as they become an official unit. *I’m so excited to see our babies finally back, in my opinion it seems more like a HOT SAUCE promo MV bring some spicy summer vibes with NCT EDM style tempo combined with Hot wheels & remix of their Fire Truck. Don’t get me started on the fashion, killer choreography, vocals, personalities and visuals; It likes a cute sexy Hot Sauce commercial. I am still trying to put my thoughts together but i’m sure everyone has their own view on it. They are good at embracing all cultures, so I really hope they don’t get hate like they did with their with “Make A Wish (Bday Song)” It is very adorable song.* #HotSauce #NCTDREAM #StopAsianHate
