It's crazy that I had such strong feelings about this album without even knowing the drama that was about to follow which apparently has to do with them not being in korea to promote it so it all feels more rushed. I liked every track on the album this time around. I liked that they ventured away from hiphop and into electronic house for the most part, because I personally was getting tired with the randomness of genres in NCT releases… The songs flow super well into each other when you just listen to the tracklist on repeat, and I enjoyed that cohesiveness for once! Maybe it’s recency bias, but I also prefer WIWY over ISTJ and Smoothie to listen to casually. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Like I can go for a walk or drive with WIWY in my ear, not with ISTJ or Smoothie 😂 Maybe that’s where the “soundtrack” aspect of this album helps a lot.

@@Koko3op ohh really? i heard they were also sending hate on how 'poor the quality of the album was' and how they didnt like it and were disappointed in the concept and everything when haechan n mark were so excited to share the songs they wrote

@@cqrrinne the 'poor quality' was really in terms of the album design, inclusions, teasers, pre-release content etc. not really the songs (although there were a few complaints) compared to istj it was really a letdown

Perhaps this album isn't to someone's taste (so what else is new in kpop?) and perhaps the production quality of the physical album isn't as cool as others. And apparently it's the boys' fault they are insanely tightly packed in their schedule and tired and did a live at an inconvenient time?? Where in fans' brains does that justify cursing at the members on social media? Plenty of people hated on Sticker or Smoothie or any number of NCT title tracks. But your own fans calling you insincere and disappointing during a live? Blame to the members for lots of things out of their control? That is beyond cruel and soooo hurtful. That is not okay behaviour no matter what aspects of an album or comeback you didn't like. Could you imagine being Haechan, hearing all that when he just released a song he wrote all of for a Dream album and was probably excited about? Could you imagine being Mark, absolutely exhausted, having to endure that when you work your ass off every day for years and years? Could you imagine being Renjun, just coming back to activities after painful mental health challenges that have prevented you from preparing the way you wanted to for the last several months? Not to mention all the other members who have been doing their best and holding things together in incredibly difficult circumstances. That is beyond selfish and cruel. That is kicking someone when they are already exhausted and bruised. That is showing that you never really cared about the members' well-being at all.

The back up vocals in When I’m You make me so happy, and that soft melody in the pre chorus? Cleannn, and I hear “I love myself” instead of “I’m not myself”, it’s cute how we can hear what we want

I feel so sad the boys having to read the hate comments on the live cause they were in london for the their next concert ( which I believe is their last concert in the US) and it has gotten so bad they had to take the phone away from renjun ( who was on hiatus for anxiety, mental health) so he doesn't read the comments.They did what they could to still do a live to greet the fans and it still wasn't enough. But I think if and when you do listen to the whole album, I think they still did a Great job together.

Good reactions first of all but this K-NCTZENS with the negativity on the livestream because they did not go live on the day the Album came out and on Korean time like the Schedule is not there fault why are you coming at 7Dream like that they have little power over there schedule like it’s not there fault that schedule clash with the comeback life happens this should have been I negative from comeback but no k-NCTZEN had to send those negative comments in the livestream and Korean NCTZEN are upset because they could not promote when the comeback happen but like they was coming when the tour was over and I my opinion this was not rush they made this album while on tour this Album is amazing

This is one of, if not the weirdest NCT project release. The obvious lack of promotion, concept and originality is so…weird? And the fact that they released their 4th full album in the middle of a tour? They literally did a similar mistake during superhuman and it didnt end well. The songs are fine, but most of them sound like something's missing. I don't really know how to feel about this album. It's cool, but no songs really stood out to me unlike their other projects.

I’ve been seeing this for a hot minute but this comeback has solidified it for me. The fact is, some fans don’t fw dream’s music fr fr. This comeback features their core sound, light and bright pop music that og fans gravitated to. I for one, found this comeback to be a breathe of fresh air, I’ve never disliked a title track more than i dislike smoothie. Wiwy is sm boy group excellence and exactly what K-pop needed!

It did remind me of the backlash around Superhuman a bit which is really sad. That had everything to do with 127 focusing on a promotion abroad for the first time (and they have not done it again). Part of their concept was to promote internationally (they say "to the world" for a reason) but even though people want international fame for their groups and even though fans want SM to do something about promoting better in the west, apparently they should never ever begin a promotion not at home. Slight overreaction I think, it's not like NCT are the first (or last) group to release an album while abroad or on tour. But what is sad is, that backlash had nothing to do with the quality of the album. Superhuman is an amazing song and because of incidental factors, it did less well. It is simply a good reminder that sales and records don't always correlate to the quality of the actual work. And while this one feels a little less narratively strong than other albums, I really enjoy the songs; there are many moments in them, both vocally and production-wise that stop me in my tracks or make me smile. Plenty of NCT songs or albums have not been enjoyed by some/many fans. It should only be a blip in a broader picture of their career, not an justification for abuse and namecalling. And I am not going to get my knickers in a twist over weird timings and promotion when the Dreamies have had an incredibly tough year and we just got Renjun back. Timings were never going to be easy this year, I just sincerely hope Renjun does not take it personally (like if his hiatus could have affected their preparations or what they were able to do this year.) SM has simply got to stop stretching the boys this thin and fans need to make sure we never hint that the boys are not "doing enough".
