The importance of background music tho. The Cherry bomb win has always been such an emotional moment for me. It was a very deserved yet very delayed 1st win, they weren't very popular, the fandom was really small, like we almost knew everyone, also Taeyong would falsely be accused and blamed for everything. So that moment when he cried holding the trophy while doing a split would always tear me up. Today is the first time I laughed and laughed so much at that moment lol. Nct 127's Kick It first win was so bittersweet. Cause they were actually really emotional despite the chaos that we see on stage. And the fact that they cried once they got into their car because it was such a meaningful win for them after the tough superhuman era 😭😭😭

I assure you there's never a dull moment in ncity 💚 So basically 127's last cb before Kick It was tough because Korean fans didnt support it as much, some even boycotted it because they were angry at SM for pretty much abandoning korean promotions and shipped them off to the US and continued with their world tour. The cb song was revealed in the middle of the tour and premiered in the US which lead to many korean fans not streaming and it did not do well on korean charts. The cb lost its hype and a lot of people didnt stream. They barely had stages from that era during the cb, lacked promotions whatsover and the members also felt dissapointed that they didnt get to really focus on Superhuman bc it overlapped with their tour and other schedules. Overall that era was just a mess although they did win twice. And after that, Jungwoo went into hiatus. The speculation was bc of his mental health. So Kick It was basically when they rise back up after a rough time and literally embodied the meaning behind Kick It as a song. Some members seemed not in their best shape but they pushed through and they prob didnt expect to win bc they were up against BTS and it was bittersweet bc they couldnt be with fans after the last cb. Also it was a very meaningful win since this was their 2nd full album. Sorry for the long ass reply 😭

They still don’t care about K-Netizens trying to be rude. People forget about how successful "Superhuman" and "We Are Superhuman" really was and how we really did come together as a fandom! I was there, so let me remind you, fellow NCTzens: 1. "Superhuman" was NCT 127's most viewed MV within 24 hours to date, point blank period. Remember, this happened after an unexpected delay with the MV. 2. "Superhuman" debuted in the top 10 on the World Digital Song Sales chart (their 7th top 10 song there) 3. "Superhuman" won 2 music show wins. It was a challenge to win them, I voted, and they were up against GOT7, who has been out longer and has a bigger fanbase honestly. I think they would have had a chance for a 3rd music show win, but "Don't Need Your Love" came out as well and NCTzen's split their votes, and no subunit won. That's without even talking about how successful "We Are Superhuman" was/still is: 1. "We are Superhuman" is a certified platinum album in South Korea 2. “We Are Superhuman" was #1 in over 25 countries, including the US, on iTunes 3. “We are Superhuman" debuted number one on World Albums chart (making this their second number one there) 4. “We Are Superhuman" was #1 on Goan Album Chart in South Korea. 5. And with the people I talk to, although many of them liked the song itself, quite a bunch did not enjoy the whole EP as much as their other releases. And were disappointed by the lack of promotions. Other fellow nctzens also shared that because some of them bought tons of albums with the expectations that they would get to attend fansigns but obv that wasnt in the plan. The boycott did fell thorugh but it caused quite the commotion. Overall, the support is there and there are improvements but it wasn't the strongest era or the most memorable compared to their other comebacks like Regular/ Cherry Bomb/ Kick It etc. In no way I'm slandering the group. I just think Kick It was indeed an era of growth, competing against a super big group, Jungwoo *finally* back with the team, some members seem to be slightly mellowed out and sometimes in physical pain like back pain and sore throats but still powering through. And after the win the boys themselves said they cried on their way back in the car. That's why I called it an emotional rollercoaster. Idk why you sound so defensive abt it
