He was a very hated member from the start because people felt he sucked at things idols are expected to do (dance and sing), then he got falsely accused of ignoring his girlfriend who wasn't his girlfriend and was a stalker, so he was pulled from the group. But tbh, I think it's better for him. He wanted to be model, not an idol.

If Mark’s a loser, we are bigger ones. There you go, my bias for Mark shining through! But seriously, NCT’s humour is unique. Seriously, I went all around K-pop. And I couldn’t find a group like this. There is something very candid about their humour. I stand by NCT as my favourite group. I think there is a video by Neo Chaotic with a very creative compilation of NCT speaking English. And it makes me choke out of laughter every time I saw it.
