It's been known that NCT are the spoiler kings, every unit has their own spoiling machine, so imagine the chaos in NCT 2020. No one could stop them they just revealed everything to us. I don't know if there's an actual term for this specifically, but that's how spoiler as a marketing tactic can work. Marvel has definitely done that with Tom Holland (the Insta Live "Don't show this" poster thing).
