Everybody here is missing Taeyong's savageness because he became a cute bubu now. 😂 He used to be one of NCT's "bad boy" members and he even hated doing aegyo. I think he toned it down when he got a lot of hate for being "scary" on stage and the scamming/bullying scandals even made it worse for his image. I think that was the starting point when he became too quiet and his introversion became extreme. The members were making fun of him for not leaving his room because he played video games all day. It also became rare for him to tease the other members EXCEPT for Doyoung. Think about it... Taeyong is actually the NCT member who gets criticized the most especially because SM kept on giving him more exposure in every comeback and people whose biases are not getting enough lines are complaining about him. Remember, idols can also read what people are saying about them online. I know that this is the most probable reason for him to tone down his savageness because I've also experienced that. If you're an introvert, no matter how confident and socially active you are, people's criticisms can really change your personality and make you hide away your self from the world in either of the two ways: You rarely get out of your room/house or you rarely show your true self to the public thus people think you're shy. I'm actually glad that he's showing his savageness again in NCT World 2.0. That means he's getting comfortable again. I just wish that his health conditions improve. I don't want Taeyong to be hurt in any manner.

I remember how social and really nice i was back then *before* middle school. Somehow i got hurt day by people, so i decided to be not open up to people easily. ​@@travellingsoul3241 There's a comment somewhere that explains it really well, but the short summary is that Taeyong got a crap ton of hate and his image as a savage/honest person fueled rumors and scandals of his early highschool bullyings to worsen and that he likely became more and more self conscious of those criticisms (especially when it created worst rumors about his characters that were untrue) that he became more introverted and subtle. He definitely became softer, but he was always kind - just in a different way, without being able to joke around as much. I think that with all he's been through and his extremely large responsibility as a leader of a unit and then of all 22 members took a toll on him and he became a really mature and responsible person as a result (in good and bad ways - like when a parent work hard to provide for their children, strong but sad). I was present during the Cherry Bomb era, and as a Tyongf (coined later on), it was such a toxic environment I had to leave the fandom altogether bc of my mental health. I can't imagine what it was like for him.

I've been seeing a lot of comments stating that it seems like Taeyong has changed into a more softie or cutie/bubu. I am a new NCTzen and this is the first time I've seen him being savage (and I love it hehe) I've only seen him, most of the time, being the soft bubu that most people call him but I think (my conclusion) the reason why he kinda had this change in his "image" is because of the past controversy he got into. Since haters had been saying bad things (most are fabricated issues/lies) and if people will see him as a savage leader/person, the more that they had the reason to make things up or the more that they get to 'justify' their claims and makeup scenarios (you know how hater's / keyboard warriors are) that he is a bad person, even if we all know of course that he isn't. So he needed to show more of his soft side instead and hold back in showing his savage and honest side. This are just my conclusion/opinion hehe
