It could be the music taste? I’ve known them since 2018 but quite frankly their music (nor they in general) did not appeal to me at first. I didn’t stan til NCT Dream BOOM/NCT 127 Superhuman era. I think the most discouraging part as a new fan was learning all the members; it was so overwhelming. Learning about them and seeing their bond sealed the deal for me though and I hope people continue to see that NCT is a family and not superficial like I thought before.

@@lizg4698 their music color evolve but still maintain their core identity. Their music was hard to accept by general public taste. But it's okay because they build their fame slowly and surely. Now, they have their own music fans and general public warming to them

But yeah, hope 'fans' stop the marry me stuff. Even if it were to happen, the chances are minimal and it just makes them uncomfortable probably, no matter how they act like they are unbothered by it and such. But oh well, that's fandom culture for you, I'd love to meet them one day but I wouldn't want to make them uncomfortable like that, Kun's reaction was sweet all things considered. Made even more sad by the fact if they were to actually get married at some point, said fans would be the ones protesting. Idols are human beings, at least, that's how I feel about it.

@@manasivaidya1900 I hope so too but many fans don't seem to mean it as a joke and is it really a joke if it happens often? I don't know... regardless, they probably can't react in any way that isn't 'nice' and 'positive' to keep their image and careers safe, it sadly is what it is. I've seen very few idols be straight up savage with fans in general, especially those type of fans.

Of course, I do have some members I say are hot - Johnny, Kun, Jaehyun, to name a few - but I don't know if I'd ever go that far if I ever saw them irl and such. It just really paints a bad image of women (and girls) in some people's minds but... it is what it is :/
