It has to be said…Taeil chose “crash landing” as his favorite on the album. Haechan chose “Designer”. They know the entire album is a masterpiece, but those two are the ones that could help NCT capture the real money-making/baby-making sector of the millennial generation. This section of the album has a late 90s/early 2000s feel that is very trendy right now. Think of all the hype with Asian (largely Japanese) fashion. We are growing tired of all things pulling away from true artistry and craftsmanship, all things suggesting inflexible standards. I hope that the global market understands how much the artists identify and love this project and take the time to learn how multifaceted and talented they are. Logistics may get in the way of breaking certain records, but this is such a sophisticated body of work and truly worthy of AOTY. I’m excited for all the NCT comebacks because they truly are leading the way for genre crossover and listening to their fans while not compromising their own vision.
