I just wanted to stress how great of a friend Doyoung is. Whenever holidays come or any special occasions, he always bring the foreigner members (mostly Yuta, Ten, Mark and Johnny) to his home bcs he didnt want them to spend holidays alone. That's why johnny have mentioned about him and Gongmyung being close. Aside from Taeyong, Doyoung also learned Japanese bcs Yuta said he doesnt have anyone to speak using his native language so Doyoung told him he can speak to him in Japanese and so Doyoung studied hard in japanese. He treats the younger ones (jeno, jaemin, haechan and jisung in smrookies) like his real brothers and often bring them out to play with them.

This goes to show that even though we get to see so many of their interactions and vulnerable moments through a screen, there are still so many things we don't know about them; just as it should be. By agreeing to be idols, they agreed to expose to many things that would otherwise be personal, yet it somehow comforts me that part of their bond as a group will always be just theirs. It's just as Doyoung said, "visible happenings and invisible emotions." We will never really understand the meaning behind the shared hugs and tears and vulnerable moments between the members, no matter how many people try to analyze it. Those moments will always be theirs and that's the beauty of it.

I broke down when Doyoung mentioned fate. How this path that they are on, to be with each other, it's fate. It makes you think about your own relationships, and the friendships that you have and the ones that you've lost. His words made me put into my own perspective. It's interesting to think about how they have to receive the serious message, have a few minutes to contemplate what they just heard and then make a serious message to their other friend. It creates a very intensive, but honest and raw environment. I truly love this group, particularly because of the members' chemistry. They have a bond that is really beautiful and not easy to explain, and when they get to do these types of things, it only creates a more closer, stronger bond. Really beautiful to see.

This isn't...about...the cameras. The boys don't care at all...about cameras. It's about Those Two...and they have always been complicated. Taeyong comes right out and SAYS here "I've tried to say this to your face" and Taeyong is rarely at a loss for words. Doyoung isn't looking around to avoiding the cameras here. He is avoiding...Taeyong. And maybe the reason is NOT that Doyoung can't deal with what Taeyong is telling him in public, it's that he can't honestly DEAL with his OWN true deep feelings for Taeyong...at all. So maybe Taeyong was wise to force the issue in this way ON camera where Doyoung HAS to hear him TELL him how much he cares for him. Maybe...after this...they DID go get all those things said...off camera...because in the month SINCE this one sided "conversation" we have seen Doyong more outgoing, happier and there have been some...very...sweet moments between them.

The fact that Doyoung always gets emotional when Taeyong tells his feeling to him, or that Haechan cringes when he listens to Mark's compliments, makes me realize that they probably have the strongest friendship among the members. Mainly because this reluctance they seem to have towards telling their deepest feelings to each other, and the urge to remain showing this "cool" and calm image, reminds me of a psychological fact which says that when a person seems to be careless about something is when they care the most. Also, this "Tom and Jerry" relationship these couples have (DoTae/MarkHyuck) implies that even though they are completely different, they understand and cope with those differences because they love each other. It is said that love means stepping back so the other can be, and to me that is the realest love can get.

And Doyoung remembers the first time he and Mark, and how they faces the struggles they had together until this day. And lastly Mark who cannot tell Haechan what he really feels. I can tell that Taeyong has always been keeping all those words for Doyoung in his heart and this video is just an opportunity for him to really get to tell it to Doyoung. He appreciates and cares for Doyoung so much just as how Doyoung cares for him. Their relationship is much more than the “love-hate relationship” as what fans always define it. All these years, Taeyong always states Doyoung as his best friend and thanks DY for being there for him whenever he gets the chance which I’m very glad because DY deserves to hear how the other loves and treasures him too. The fact that DY was the one appeared in all of Taeyong’s most personal songs like Yestoday, Peace of Mind, Switch Off really shows how important Doyoung is to Taeyong. You can see that they are two of the most sensitive members in NCT, and somehow they have become each other number one emotional supporter. They have their own way of caring and showing love to each other. Although DY is his dongsaeng, Taeyong treats DY as his friend, as someone he can rely on. I feel like when he is with DY, he lets himself relax, he doesn’t have to be the leader, doesn’t have to pretend anything. Instead, they are just themselves, talk about their own feelings and concern, comfort each other, give the strength that each other need. When DY said “Because of various things with many visible happenings and invisible emotions, we got closer to each other...” I understand now why Taeyong said their friendship is kinda awkward. It’s awkward because it’s hard to fully explain their relationship only through camera lens. Their friendship right now is made because they both continuously work on their friendship. They have their differences but they try to understand and empathise with each other. Another interesting thing is their relationship has two different sides: Dotae bicker a lot (like out of nowhere lol) but it actually shows that they’re really comfortable with each other. Sometimes I feel like it’s just their way of getting the other’s attention. But at the end of the day, DoTae are also the type of having deep conversations with each other about their feelings and things going on in their life which we just can’t see it on camera. They don’t have to prove anything to anyone because they already understand each other so well. Taeyong and Doyoung sometimes have their own burden, but they always make sure to lend their shoulders when one needs. I just feel so happy that in a cruel industry like Kpop, Taeyong and Doyoung somehow found each other, debuted in the same group and became best friends. Their friendship is pure and precious and I admire their friendship so much. But just want to point out one more thing: when it comes to expressing their love, DoTae have their different ways. Doyoung takes care of TYong through little things like making sure he stayed safe, calmed him down when he’s nervous,...and the MAMA hug really showed that. Doyoung may not always say it out loud but just by all the things he does for Taeyong, we know that he really cares a lot for Taeyong. While Taeyong expresses his love for Doyoung more likely through words. Taeyong never failed to tell DY how he is thankful for everything DY does. He wants appreciate DY’s hard work, he wants to show the world how talented, important and special DY is. Looking back to the Kick it MV commentary video, Taeyong said “I was gonna choose all Doyoung’s scenes though” when Doyoung asked him why he just said “Ah, there’s no reason.” But it’s just Taeyong wanted to appreciate DY’s effort. Isn’t it beautiful having someone beside sincerely cares for you and always makes sure you feel loved and appreciated because that’s what DoTae are to each other. Can I just say that the editing for this series is so clever. Taeyong mentions here that he always wanted to tell Doyoung these things to his face and the editing is done in such a way to imply that there is a conversation happening between the two. For those who understand cinematography, the DP and cam ops even shot the members in keeping up with 180, as if they were both an set sitting across from each other and I just think that that is so clever and makes this series all the more meaningful. There is no music, no distractions, just words. And the silence that follows at the end of the testimonials is so profound. The production and post production crew for NCT is not given enough credit, so hats off to them. Thank you so much for providing meaningful content for us to watch and for putting thought into your shots and editing. Just.. wow. The production crews sacrifice just as much as the boys do. @@neo_phoria i can totally relate. a lot of my friends and family say the same things to me and it is burdensome; a negative environment that we didn't choose but cannot remove ourselves from easily (especially when it comes to family). all i can offer in advice is to challenge their beliefs. ask them to think introspectively. maybe if they are open enough they will soon be able to understand you. i am lucky that i have a singular shining light in my life: my mother. she never judges who i am as a person; always loving, respecting, and nurturing me with unending love. a true and beautiful mother, but not a person without flaws which is another reason i have come to appreciate her so much.

The fact that, Taeyong and Doyong's message is just the start and there'll be 7 more members to do this already makes my heart so warm. It gives me a lot of geniune emotion, it makes me happy, sad and thankful all of the same time. I feel happy that NCT is doing well on their career, that they're able to showcase their talent not only in Korea but around the world. I feel sad for the rough times that they went through. And lastly, I feel so thankful that they don't let the hardships shake their ground and instead make it as their strength. Being in a diverse group with lots of member is not a joke, there'll be a lot of different opinions, different lifetsyle and all but what I've seen with NCT, they gave each other attention to understand one another. I may not know them outside the screen/stage but I can feel their sincerity, passion and pure heart as individuals and I want other people to see that too. No words could describe how he loves his members so much and wish to be together with them till the end. Their friendship is really precious. I wish their friendship will grow stronger and tighter until the end. They don’t have to show their affection as friends and their friendship to us everyday, just us knowing they’ve always being together to each other is already enough. i feel like doyoung and mark have this really simple yet complicated relationship as they've grown up together from being trainees to experienced idols. back during rookie and debut days, doyoung had so much physical affection and doting onto mark and even said he wanted to name his kids "minhyung or minyoung" because he adores mark so much.through the years, we see doyoung still hugging him and taking care of him in his own way, but there is definitely a lot less smothering and a lot of people kind of disregard their friendship. however, doyoung always always has this very intense empathy where he notices the little details about everyone and i think he noticed mark's kind of apathy to so much affection as he grew up and found his own place and confidence in himself through time, so doyoung backed up a bit, especially as more outwardly emotional member joined the team like jungwoo where he could take care of them more outwardly. i've noticed this a lot with doyoung's care for the younger members like jeno and jaemin and the rest of the dreamies, but this translated to mark, winwin, and even jaehyun. doyoung used to really want a younger sister to dote on, and he really channeled this energy toward the younger (and older members). i think his personality is a caretaker, but he seems to have matured emotionally a lot and understands that sometimes just being understood and being there for someone is exactly the guidance someone would want. that's why i think his comments towards mark are especially thoughtful as he knows they might have differing opinions and not match up 100% but he is so glad for the experience to know him, to reassure him he is first and foremost, a good and special person, and that he will always be there for him. there is no one like doyoung, because he too, is a special person and im so thankful for being able to know him.

I get what he means about them being different about their likes and dislikes because clearly mark has other members that has similar interests with him like Jaehyun and Johnny which appears to be the closer hyungs to Mark than him. But Doyoung implying that they don't need to have similar interests to like each other and he likes Mark just the way he is and that he is precious to him is just what Mark needed to hear. Mark got emotional for a person who rarely shows his emotions just goes to show how deep Doyoung's message was.

@@camberleysmith6212 I mean I don't want to put words in Mark's mouth, but what I think he means is when he first met Haechan, he knew him as Donghyuck (his real name) but since they've been in the same group for a while now, he got used to calling him Haechan. I think he's just expressing how long they've been together since debut. But it could mean other things too like maybe he isn't as close to him now so he doesn't call him Donghyuck as much, or maybe he just got attached to the name Haechan since it's more bright and fun. Honestly it can mean anything, not enough context😂
