@@SaveButterfliesUK never did end up building one, I still want to just haven’t had the bandwidth to pull it off yet. I did plant a bunch of milkweed behind some outbuildings and it greatly increased the amount of swallow tails we see during the warmer months. It’s a start.

Nice video. I have tried but failed to plant plants for butterflies because of the gophers. They are terrible here on the west coast.

I found two catipilleers yesterday. I made a place for them to be safe outside. I think they came from my next door neighbor's rose bushes. I pluck fresh roses from his bushes to feed them. They are grayish tope color. What kind of butterflies are they???

Butterfly bush? That's a very destructive invasive that is already banned in several states. Joe pye weed, a native, would be a great alternative though!

Hello I have health problems I'm 64 I've got a broken back Harrisburg Oregon and I was just impressed to Heather a butterfly garden somewhere in Roseburg with these big trees that we have and netting over the top a place for people to see nature's love for each individual that sees butterflies I think of butterflies as angels with wings my name is David dereut I used to be a photographer when I could travel I'd I've been to quite a few countries cook countries in Southeast Asia see many beautiful butterflies and I'm and I'd like to create a butterfly garden I'm on social security disability and I want to do what I could do I don't know go through the city or something I don't know but I wanted to be a spot where there's natural water running through which we have and we have a lot of trees are down and I need permission I'm sure But I would like to spend a little time planting the right plants To slow down From what To become Think butterflies will do that I think a butterflies as little angels not not fairy tales but little bit angry When they We have We have Back to nature with our participation

I find it sorta wasteful how you'd raise so many butterflies and not try to breed them sustainably. All those insects hatching and their genetics being wasted. Smh.

Don't get those chinese butterfly bushes or any non-native flowers. Find a species native to your area that will fill that niche.
