Nice work on all your content Chad! Very methodical and informative. Have you had a chance to play with the baffle insert? Do you plan to run your dyno testing with the baffle fixed in one position? I’m likely going to buy the GWR SSST as well. A little concerned about it being to loud in my 2020 ND2 RF, but love the sound. Sound clips are fairly helpful, but most phones have an AGC (auto gain control) circuit that kicks in and adjusts the recorded volume and may not be very representative of volume. You dB readings should help though. Note that just 3dB increase is twice the sound level, and 10dB is 10x the level. I’m hoping that daily driving won’t become tiresome due to excessive volume with this choice. Keep up the good work!

I really appreciate the positive comments. Thank you! 👍 I’m hoping to get it on the dyno within the next week or so and have been considering the placement of the baffle. I really doubt it will change the power produced but will most likely keep it inserted as it’s how I drive it.

I installed an ISR muffler delete, basically a straight pipe and didn't like it, was way too loud and boomy, hurt my ears and sometimes I had ringing in my ears after a spirited drive. Did you have any ear pain or discomfort with the Goodwin racing Super Street Muffler?? I'm looking for more sound but not any drone or boomy.

I really appreciate all the in-depth work you've done on these exhausts and whatnot. Didn't you say in your dyno video that the GWR Axle-back by itself, with the baffle removed, generated some noticable drone on the highway? If so that's disappointing cause I'd want an exhaust that I wouldn't have to tinker with. I narrowed down my choices to the GWR SuperStreet ST and the Fujitsubo Authorize-R, and that drone is a point in favor of the Fujitsubo for me (even if the GWR does sound great otherwise).

That’s correct. There is some drone especially with the baffle removed. I was disappointed given how many people give this exhaust such glowing reviews 🤷‍♂️. It’s not horrible but it’s there.

I've got the superstreet twin tip on my ND 1.5 turbo. Having the adjustable baffle is a nice feature too, I think you'd like it Chad!

Hi Chad. Love the detailed approach in your Miata videos. I really appreciate the work. Keep it up! I recently bought my own ND2 Miata after an extensive research. I was undecided between the polymetal gray and the machine gray, your video on the paint color helped a lot. Chose the machine gray in the end and am very happy with it. Would you consider making a video on wheel replacement alternatives? Stock options vs. aftermarket, 16" vs. 17", silver/black/gunmetal finish would best fit which body color, what tyre measurements would look and perfom best for daily/track use, overall fitment considerations, etc. Mine came with the 30th anniversary matte black 16" wheels. Nice design but small for this car in my opinion. I'm considering a switch to 9Jx17" wheels and 235/40/17 tyres. And a question: the wheels on your Miata are the gunmetal or the bright silver finish?

Actually, I’ve been in recent discussions with a fellow enthusiast about doing just such a video on wheel sizes and impact. It will require some work to pull together access to different wheels, but I hope to be able to do something in the future. My rims are the stock gunmetal grey 👍

I like the Goodwin exhausts. Good value for money and the dyno pull on Grass Roots Motorsports made better power than a straight pipe throughout most of the rev range. I fear she is going to be loud with the mid pipe, but I like the dry high pitched tone with the helm hertz chamber. I still don't have an exhaust on my ND2 but this is the front runner right now.

Both are great exhausts. However, I personally prefer the lower bass rumble of the Greddy exhaust 👍😁

Awesome! I love how the SSST looks and I noticed in a buddy's ND2 who had one there was a better throttle response vs mine so I bought one. I'm installing the SSST tomorrow. Did you run this with the baffle in? (I may have missed it in the video) and did you feel any power (butt dyno) bump? Also, do you still have your sound tube? Thanks for the video! Thank you. Yes I did have the included baffle inserted (not the optional glass packed baffle). The sound tube is still in place.
