In your NC install video you only removed the front UCA but for the ND you are doing both UCA and LCA. Is there not enough room on the ND with just removing the UCA?
@trevorthomas78714 жыл бұрын
Ordered these as part of the "Stage 2 Fox suspension kit for ND." No instructions available on FM's website. Then I find this. Would be better if you mention/note which Eibach springs (by part number/dimensions) go on front versus rear assembly. Got the front assembly done and then realized the parts are different and had to tear back down and start over on both assemblies. May seem trivial/obvious for the initiated but this just cost me time that I don't have.

We're sorry about the trouble. The instructions should have been included with the suspension when it was packed. If not, please email our customer service team so they can figure out what went wrong and send you a copy.

Hi!! After a year of using theses awesome coilovers, i think the upper nuts are a bit loose, can i tight them while on the car? I don’t want to damaged them, thanks!!

How did you preload the spring? Mine still spins after tightening the collar at the bottom
@FlyinMiataVideo9 ай бұрын
As long as you tighten up your locking bolt on the lower perch/collar at your preferred ride height, the car's weight will keep the spring still. We have instructions here if you need more details. flyinmiata.com/support/instructions/suspension/FOX_ND_13-16175.pdf

Hi! On the NC miata with these coilovers do you need bumpstop spacers if I'm going to use 245-40-17 tires?
@FlyinMiataVideo4 жыл бұрын
That may not be necessary depending on the wheel and alignment chosen. We'd recommend you check by installing a shock with no springs and lifting the suspension to full compression to check clearance.
@josh-nc6eg2 жыл бұрын
How does this compare to the stock suspension of an ND RF club? (Bilstein shocks, etc)
@FlyinMiataVideo2 жыл бұрын
We might be a little biased, but in our opinion the Fox is the better option. The Bilstein are good, but with the Fox, you have more travel, more adjustments, and a better ride throughout the range of travel.
@TheyCallMeMidnight4 жыл бұрын
Is this assembly lighter than the factory suspension?
@FlyinMiataVideo4 жыл бұрын
The shock is certainly lighter, although we haven't checked the mass of the complete setup against stock. Component weight is less important than function - stiffer springs are heavier than softer springs, and we concentrate on spring rate first. Those stock springs are really soft!
@TheyCallMeMidnight4 жыл бұрын
@@FlyinMiataVideo Awesome! That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the quick reply!
@FunFiction7042 жыл бұрын
Idk if youd reply to this but im wondering if i can lower these coils to stock ride height, i recently bought a 97 miata and it was lifted with this suspension.
@FlyinMiataVideo2 жыл бұрын
Assuming it's running the standard spring setup, it can certainly be lowered well below stock ride height. If the previous owner installed longer and/or stiffer springs, it depends on what those springs are.
@rudybenitez24402 жыл бұрын
8.75 front and 6.75 rear. Was hoping for an idea of how much the car dropped at that spec
@FlyinMiataVideo2 жыл бұрын
Stock Miata heights vary, so we don't quote "drop" as the only thing we can control is the end result. The factory gives nearly 2" of range in their specs - they're more interested in side-to-side variation. It's easy enough to measure your own car and do the math to see what that drop would be.

are fox's rebuild once the fluid is no long good. site says revalue can be done. but what about rebuilding ? also what wheels and tires size is recommend with the foxs? and what about ride height ? I thinking about ordering a stage two package for my NF 124 spider that will see daily driving use along with track and autocross use.
@FlyinMiataVideo4 жыл бұрын
Yes, changing the fluid is easily done. A revalve and a rebuild are really the same basic thing. We run up to a 245/40-17 on a 17x9, although that's not necessarily determined by the suspension itself. They have the ability to handle a wide range of ride heights, but we recommend 12.5-13" for street use and with the standard spring set.
