I am from Malawi and feel so honored, this is a redo of Malawian artist late Paul Chaphuka who passed away in the 1990s, I was born in 1990 and I grew up listening to Paul Chaphuka! Amazing! Great job guys, it's so weird I started singing this tune before I clicked to listen to this remake!

It was in June of 1996 when I visited Andiamo studio in Balaka and then to a dance for the leaving Peace Corps group after serving 24 months in Malawi. I was truly amazed at the dedication to music and talent that late Paul Chaphuka had. This must have been one of his last concerts to perform because he was very weak and I was in tears. Thank you for remembering and honoring him through the remake of his song. He actually sang this song and I was in tears. RIP Paul Chaphuka.

Paul Chaphuka is not the original composer of this song. It is Alpha Blondy who is. The late Chaphuka copied it from Blondy, translated it into Chichewa and Dalisoul has done it as well.
